SNARE DRUM TECHNIQUESON RIMStrike the rim of the snare drum with the shoulder of thestick.
STICK CLICKSHold one stick stationary, in front of your body.Strike the shoulder of the stationary stick with theshoulder of the other stick.
CROSS-STICKLay the stick across the snare drum, with the bead restingon the drum head and the back end extending over therim. Using the bead as a pivot point, raise the stick withyour index finger and thumb, then strike the rim with theshaft of the stick. Make sure that the bead remains on thehead for the entire stroke.
END OF STICK ON DRUM HEADStrike the head of the drum with the back end of thestick.
