Scheduled shuttle bus service is available between MTR Tai Po Market Station and Tai Po Waterfront Park. No parking space is available for participants. Public Transport Tai Po Waterfront Park is accessible by KMB Route Nos. 72A, 73, 73X, 75X, 271, 275R, 74K, 75K, 71K, 71S and MTR Feeder Bus Route No. K17. Participants can also access the park by taking a 30-minute walk from MTR Tai Po Market Station. Participants who wish to drive to Tai Po Waterfront Park may use the fee-paying public car park at Dai Wah Street or the on-street metered parking spaces near the park entrances at Dai Hei Street and Dai King Street. 4 Meals Participants should bring their own food and drinks. Light Refreshment Kiosk and Light Refreshment Restaurant provide services in the park. Drinking fountain and vending machines are also available, please bring Octopus. 5 Tent Camp Equipment Participants could bring their own tent or LCSD provides tents (for three to four persons), mats and sleeping bags free of charge for participants. Participants are advised to bring torches. Arrangements for Inclement Weather Based on Hong Kong Observatory’s announcement at 11am on the activity day, Tent Camping Activity will be cancelled if the tropical cyclone warning signal no. 1 or above or the red/black rainstorm warning is in force. All activities will be postponed to 18 to 19 November 2017 (Saturday & Sunday) at the original time and held in Tai Po Waterfront Park. LCSD will not notify the participants of the corresponding arrangement. If the weather becomes adverse during the activity period, LCSD will have the sole discretion to decide whether the park will remain open to participants. The park will arrange participants to leave the park under safe conditions. 3 Transportation � Shuttle bus service for participants. Scheduled shuttle bus service is available between MTR Tai Po

Market Station and Tai Po Waterfront Park.

� No parking space is available for participants.

� Public Transport

Tai Po Waterfront Park is accessible by KMB Route Nos. 72A, 73, 73X, 75X, 271, 275R, 74K, 75K,

71K, 71S and MTR Feeder Bus Route No. K17. Participants can also access the park by taking a

30-minute walk from MTR Tai Po Market Station.

4 Meals

and to reduce to the minimum the time of their stay outdoors, especially in areas with heavy traffic.

As the health effects on individuals may vary, participants should seek advice from a medical doctor if

they are in doubt or feel uncomfortable. 8888 Points to Note: i) Applicants should be aware of their health condition, and consider whether it is suitable for them

to enrol in Tent Camping Activity. In case of doubt, please consult a doctor prior to the

enrolment of activity.

ii) If participants do not feel well during the camp period, they should take rest and seek assistance

from the camp counsellors immediately.

iii) Participants should present their receipts when reporting.

iv) Applicants who make applications on behalf of camping groups should be aged 18 or above and

available on the event day to take care of his/her group.

v) Children aged below 12 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult.

vi) Participants should take care of their personal belongings during the camp period and should not

bring valuables to the park. Lockers with padlock hasps are available at the park. Participants

should bring a padlock to use the lockers. Any property stored in the lockers is at the users’ own

risk. LCSD is not responsible for any items stored in the lockers.

vii) One tent caters for 3 to 4 persons.

viii) Participants could bring their own tents, but could not exceed 3m x 3m x 1.5m. ix) Participants should not use camp nails. x) Participants should not use any inflammable materials to make fire.

xi) Shower and changing room facilities would not be provided in camp area.

xii) Participants should wear proper sportswear.

xiii) All activities are conducted in Cantonese unless otherwise specified.

xiv) Participants should maintain the tranquility of the park after 11:00pm.

xv) If any participant has to leave before the check-out time, he/she should inform the camp

counsellors in advance.

xvi) Participants must return all equipment borrowed from the park before departure. In case of

damage/lost of equipment, they should report to the park staff as soon as possible. LCSD

reserves the right to claim for the damage/loss from the participants.

xvii) Please be punctual if you choose to take the shuttle bus from and to Tai Po Waterfront Park and

MTR Tai Po Market Station and be reminded to bring along your receipt, no waiting for late

(http:/ /www.lcsd.gov.hk/tc /storm/days.html) . xviii) Participants should comply with the <Pleasure Grounds Regulation> in the park.

xix) Unless under special circumstances, no making substitution is allowed after registration. 9999 Enrolment Method (By balloting) a. Quota : 100.

b. Applicant shall enroll in group of family with a minimum of 2 persons, or a maximum of 6 persons.

Group members shall include parents/guardians.

c. Applicants should submit the enrolment form with declaration to the District Leisure Services Office

(DLSO) or sports centres of Tai Po District between 26 September and 5 October, 2017; or submit

enrolment form through Internet. (http:/ /www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/programmes/programmeslist / distr ictspor ts/searchrsprog.php) or Leisure Link Self-service Kiosk. For the same type of

activities organised by a district within same enrolment period, each applicant can only submit one

application form. Applicants who duplicate their enrolments or submit incomplete applications will be

disqualified.

d. If the enrolment form is submitted by post, please return the completed form together with the

“Declaration” to DLSO of Tai Po District (Address: 3/F, Tai Po Complex, 8 Heung Sze Wui Street,

Tai Po, N.T.) on or before 5 October, 2017 (the date of receipt of the enrolment form by the above

office is regarded as receipt date) with “Storm the Park - Family Camp under the Stars@Tai Po

Waterfront Park” written on the envelope (Please send out the enrolment form early for joining the

ballot to avoid the postal delay.).

e. To submit enrolment forms by post, please make sure that all mail items bear sufficient

postage. This Department will not accept any underpaid mail items and such items will be handled

by the Hongkong Post. For calculation of postage, please refer to the Hongkong Post’s website.

f. An open ballot for successful applicants and waiting list applicants will be held at 10:00am on 10

October 2017 at Tai Po District Leisure Services Office, 3/F, Tai Po Complex, 8 Heung Sze Wui

Street, Tai Po, N.T.. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

g. Successful applicants must bring along their notification letters and identity documents (original or

copy) to the designated District Offices / recreation and sports venues with Leisure Link Services /

Leisure Link Self-service Kiosk for registration (for details, please refer to the notification letters). h. Waiting list will be drawn up for all the LCSD recreation activities. No priority number will be

assigned to the applicants on the waiting list.

i. If places are available after the registration due date for successful applicants, these places will be

opened for all the applicants on the waiting list for enrolment within specified period at all District

Leisure Services Offices or Leisure Link outlets on a first-come-first-served basis. (Remarks: All

applicants on the waiting list will be informed of the details of arrangement by mail.)

If there are still places after the enrolment period for the applicants on the waiting list, these places will

be opened to the general public on the "Date of Open Enrolment for Remaining Quota" starting from

8:30am, via the following means, for enrolment on a first-come-first-served basis:

� District Leisure Services Offices

� Recreation and Sports Venues with Leisure Link services

� Enrolment by telephone (Note: The telephone reservation service is available only within the first

3 calendar days starting from the first day of the enrolment period.)

� Leisure Link Internet Booking

� Leisure Link Self-service Kiosks

j. The balloting result of each programme will be publicized within five working days from the balloting

date. Enquiries about the balloting result and the remaining quota arrangement may be directed to the

respective District Office organising the activity.

LCSD reserves the right to amend it at any time without giving any prior notice.

6. 7:30 – 10:30 pm Night Activity: Stargazing, Folk Song Singing, Insect House
