The dimension chart above is for standard catch basins and inlets only. The contractor is
responsible for providing the correct size device for each inlet.
For non-Clean Water Services Standard catch basins and inlets, the contractor shall measure
dimensions in the field and order the appropriate size(s).
The inlet sediment control device shall be of high flow design (200 gal / min / ft ), as per the
manufacturer's specifications.
The sediment control device shall be inspected daily by the contractor and maintained a
minimum once per month or within the 48 hours following a storm event.
Substitution of a sheet of filter fabric placed over the opening of the inlet is not approved.

1. Type 'A' curb REQUIRES PREAPPROVAL by the City Engineer. For use ONLY when replacing similar curb. This curb is not intended for new construction.
2. Concrete to have compressive strength of 4,000 psi at 28 days. 3. Expansion joints to be provided at each:
a. Point of tangency. b. Cold joint. c. Side of inlet structures. d. Side of driveways.
4. Expansion joint material to be pre-molded, asphalt impregnated, non-extruding, with a thickness of 1 /2 inch.
5. Contraction joints shall have: a. Spacing of not more than 15 feet. b. Depth of Joint of at least 1½ inches.
6. Base rock 2"-0 or 3/4"-0, 95% (MSHTO T-180) compaction. Base rock shall be to subgrade of street structure or 4 inches, which ever is greater, and shall extend 12 inches behind the curb.
7. Drainage weephole shall be: a. 3 inch I.D. plastic pipe with coupling and beveled outlet end to match face of curb. b. Centered with contraction joints.

NOTES: 1. Concrete thrust blocking to be poured against undisturbed earth. 2. Keep concrete clear of joint and accessories. Install 12 mil total thickness polyethylene sheet around fitting.
Secure sheet ends to prevent infiltration of dirt between sheet and pipe fitting prior to pouring thrust blocking. Protect mechanical joint followers and bolts from concrete with temporary forms and 12 mil polyethylene sheeting.

1. These trench backfill requirements apply to all public utility pipes. For additional requirements, see CWS Design and Construction Standards and City's Engineering Design Manual sections 210.18 &210.19.
2. For trenches 12" wide or less in streets with classifications higher than Residential, use controlled density fill (CDF) as per sec 210.19. For all other trenches, use 3/4" - O" aggregate compacted to 95% of max density per AASHTO t-99 and ODOT/APWA spec 00405.

CROSS SECTION NOTES:
1. This drawing applies to trench cuts and other kinds of pavement cuts. 2. For width dimensions, see Engineering Design Manual sections 150.6.D, 210.19 and the notes that follow. 3. Sawcut existing AC pavement full depth. Sawcut existing PCC pavement according to Beaverton
Standard Dwgs 309 & 310. 4. Restore existing pavement material(s) to pre-existing or better conditions. Thickness shall be as follows:
a. For existing Portland Cement Concrete (PCC): existing pavement thickness plus 2 inches, but not less than 8 inches. On Arterial and Collector streets, concrete patching material shall be high early strength class 5,000 psi PCC approved by City Engineer.
b. For existing Asphalt Concrete (AC): resurface to a minimum of 3 1/2 inches of class 'C' AC or existing AC thickness plus 2 inches, whichever is greater, but do not exceed 6 inches. Compact AC in 2-inch maximum lifts to 91 % of maximum density (Rice).
c. Base course shall be 3/4"-0 aggregate compacted to 95% of max density as per MSHTO T-99 and ODOT/APWA Spec 00405. Minimum thickness shall be 8 inches under AC pavement and 2 inches under PCC pavement.
5. All cut edges of AC shall be sand sealed with CRS-1 or CRS-2 emulsified asphalt or equal. 6. If new edge of pavement is less than three feet from another patch, curb or edge of street, replace the
pavement in between. 7. If any part of more than one pre-existing patch edge is within 3 feet of the T-cut, remove and restore the
pavement to the far edge of the furthest pre-existing patch. 8. On longitudinal pavement cuts, the edge of the T-cut shall not lie in a wheel path. Width of T-cut shall be
widened where necessary to move the edge out of the wheel path and either to parallel and 6 inches from the nearest lane line, or to the location required by note 6 or 7 above as applicable, whichever is the furthest from the pavement cut.
9. If an edge of a T-cut will be within 5 feet or less of an area of distressed existing pavement, the length and width of the pavement restoration shall be determined by City Engineer upon notification by the Contractor.,
10. Width from edge of trench shall be 6 inches minimum for trenches that are 12 inches wide or less and 12 inches minimum for trenches wider than 12 inches. The width may be increased up to 10 feet on both sides of the pavement cut as approved by City Engineer. See Engineering Design Manual section 150.6.

1. Residential subdivision water services to be installed by developer.
2. Water meter to be provided by City after payment of all applicable fees.
3. Wherever possible service line is to extend perpendicular from the watermain to the meter stop.
4. Corporation and curb stops to be Mueller 300 ball valves, 300 psi rated, with Mueller 110
compression joints and padlock wings, Ford Meter Box Co. Ballcorp 300 psi rated ball valve
with "Quick Joint" connections and padlock wings, or identical equal. Corporation stop to be
installed with key sideways in open position.
5. Copper pipe to be American or Canadian made type K.
6. On compression connections, cut the pipe end straight, chamfer and clean prior to inserting into
the fitting. Tighten the compression nut until it makes metal-to-metal contact with the machine
shoulder of the stop or fitting.
7. Service saddle to be installed no less than 18 inches from pipe joint.
8. Meter box shall be Armorcast 12"x20"x12" RPM #A6000485 with mousehole. Lid shall be
1 3/4" thick #A6000484TDQ 20k load rated polymer concrete cover with #A6000487T RPM 20k
drop-in cover.
9. All meter boxes located in driveways and sidewalks shall have traffic covers.
10. Etch a 2 inch "W" on the existing curb face or stamp a 2 inch "W" on top of wet new curbing to
identify potable water service location.

NOTES:
1. Hydrants are to have two 2½ inch and one 4½ inch ports. 2. Install a Storz HPHA50 - 45NH Permanent Hydrant Adapter on the 4½ inch port. 3. The minimum main - to - hydrant pipe size is 6 inches. 4. Hydrants to be: Mueller (Super Centurion 200), Waterous (Pacer WB67-250), Clow (Medallion
F-2545), Kennedy (Guardian K-81D) or M&H (Regent style 129) with the following specifications: a. 5¼ inch main valve (barrel) b. Oil reservoir c. Bronze actuating nut d. Bronze seat ring e. Weather shield cap f. Safety sleeve coupling g. Threaded nozzles with "O" rings h. National standard threads
5. Hydrants are to be painted using R-1317 Safety Yellow paint or an alternate approved by the TVF&R Fire Marshall.
6. Safety chains are to be removed. 7. Hydrants are to be installed plumb. 8. Protective post is to be provided and installed, per UFC Standards, if hydrant is subject to vehicular
damage. 9. Valve box assembly is lo be in accordance Beaverton Standard Dwg 615 or as approved by the
City Engineer. 10. No obstructions are allowed within 3 feet of Hydrant. 11. See Beaverton Standard Dwg 215 for sidewalk standards. 12. Add water valve operator extension when required. See Beaverton Standard Dwg 620. 13. Pipe bends are not allowed without permission of the City Engineer. 14. Hydrants may be located al varying distances from curb or in sidewalk only with prior approval of
the City Engineer. If hydrant is located in sidewalk, sidewalk's clear width shall meet ADA clearance width requirements.

1. WHEN RAINFALL AND RUNOFF OCCURS DAILY INSPECTIONS OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROLS AND DISCHARGE OUTFALLS MUST BE PROVIDED BY SOME ONE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPERIENCED IN THE PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROLS WHO WORKS FOR THE PERMITTEE.
2. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES MUST AVOID OR MINIMIZE EXCAVATION AND CREATION OF BARE GROUND FROM OCTOBER 1 THROUGH MAY 31 EACH YEAR.
3. DURING WET WEATHER PERIOD, TEMPORARY STABILIZATION OF THE SITE MUST OCCUR AT THE END OF EACH WORK DAY.
4. SEDIMENT CONTROLS MUST BE INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED ON ALL DOWN GRADIENT SIDES OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION. THEY MUST REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL PERMANENT VEGETATION OR OTHER PERMANENT COVERING OF EXPOSED SOIL IS ESTABLISHED.
5. ALL ACTIVE INLETS MUST HAVE SEDIMENT CONTROLS INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION. UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED, A SURFACE MOUNTED AND ATTACHABLE, U-SHAPED FILTER BAG IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CURB INLET CATCH BASINS.
6. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SEDIMENT WHICH LEAVES THE SITE MUST BE CLEANED UP WITHIN 24 HOURS AND PLACED BACK ON THE SITE AND STABILIZED OR PROPERLY DISPOSED. THE CAUSE OF THE SEDIMENT RELEASE MUST BE FOUND AND PREVENTED FROM CAUSING A RECURRENCE OF THE DISCHARGE WITHIN THE SAME 24 HOURS. ANY IN-STREAM CLEAN UP OF SEDIMENT SHALL BE PREFORMED ACCORDING TO THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF STATE LANDS REQUIRED TIME FRAME .
7. SEDIMENT MUST NOT BE INTENTIONALLY WASHED INTO STORM SEWERS, DRAINAGE WAYS, OR WATER BODIES.
8. SEDIMENT MUST BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND ALL SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES WHEN IT HAS REACHED A HEIGHT OF 113RD THE BARRIER HEIGHT, AND PRIOR TO THE CONTROL MEASURES REMOVAL .
9. CLEANING OF ALL STRUCTURES WITH SUMPS MUST OCCUR WHEN THE SEDIMENT RETENTION CAPACITY HAS BEEN REDUCED BY 50% AND AT COMPLETION OF PROJECT.
10. ANY USE OF TOXIC OR OTHER HAZARDOUS MATERIALS MUST INCLUDE PROPER STORAGE, APPLICATION, AND DISPOSAL.
11. THE PERMITTEE MUST PROPERLY MANAGE HAZi'\RDOUS WASTES, USED OILS, CONTAMINATED SOILS, CONCRETE WASTE, SANITARY WASTE, LIQUID WASTE, OR OTHER TOXIC SUBSTANCES DISCOVERED OR GENERATED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
12. THE APPLICATION RATE OF FERTILIZERS USED TO REESTABLISH VEGETATION MUST FOLLOW MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS. NUTRIENT RELEASES FROM FERTILIZERS TO SURFACE WATERS MUST BE MINIMIZED. TIME RELEASE FERTILIZERS SHOULD BE USED AND CARE SHOULD BE MADE IN APPLICATION OF FERTILIZERS WITHIN ANY WATER WAY RIPARIAN ZONE.
13. OWNER OR DESIGNATED PERSON SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT CLEAN WATER SERVICES STANDARDS AND STATE, AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
14. PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES, THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CLEARING LIMITS, VEGETATED BUFFERS, AND ANY SENSITIVE AREAS SHOWN ON THIS PLAN SHALL BE CLEARLY DELINEATED IN THE FIELD. UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED, NO DISTURBANCE IS PERMITTED BEYOND THE CLEARING LIMITS. THE OWNER/PERMITTEE MUST MAINTAIN THE DELINEATION FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. NOTE: VEGETATED CORRIDORS TO BE DELINEATED WITH ORANGE CONSTRUCTION FENCE OR APPROVED EQUAL.
15. PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES, THE BMPS THAT MUST BE INSTALLED ARE GRAVEL CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE, PERIMETER SEDIMENT CONTROL, AND INLET PROTECTION. THESE BMPS MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROJECT.
16. IF VEGETATIVE SEED MIXES ARE SPECIFIED, SEEDING MUST TAKE PLACE NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 1ST; THE TYPE AND PERCENTAGES OF SEED IN THE MIX ARE AS IDENTIFIED ON THE PLANS ORAS SPECIFIED BY THE DESIGN ENGINEER.
17. WATER-TIGHT TRUCKS MUST BE USED TO TRANSPORT SATURATED SOILS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. AN APPROVED EQUIVALENT IS TO DRAIN THE SOIL ON SITE AT A DESIGNATED LOCATION USING APPROPRIATE BMPS; SOIL MUST BE DRAINED SUFFICIENTLY FOR MINIMAL SPILLAGE.
18. ALL PUMPING OF SEDIMENT LADEN WATER MUST BE DISCHARGED OVER AN UNDISTURBED, PREFERABLY VEGETATED AREA, AND THROUGH A SEDIMENT CONTROL BMP (I.E. FILTER BAG) .
19. THE ESC PLAN MUST BE KEPTONSITE. ALL MEASURES SHOWN ON THE PLAN MUST BE INSTALLED PROPERLY TO ENSURE THAT SEDIMENT LADEN WATER DOES NOT ENTER A SURFACE WATER SYSTEM, ROADWAY, OR OTHER PROPERTIES.
20. THE ESC MEASURES SHOWN ON THIS PLAN ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ANTICIPATED SITE CONDITIONS. DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD,THESE MEASURES SHALL BE UPGRADED AS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL REGULATIONS.
21. WRITTEN ESC LOGS ARE SUGGESTED TO BE MAINTAINED ONSITE AND AVAILABLE TO DISTRICT INSPECTORS UPON REQUEST.
