From the South/West (Kidderminster) Heading north east out of Kidderminster town centre, pick up the A451. At the first roundabout take the third exit on Coventry Street (A456) After approximately half a mile, turn left onto the A449 and proceed for another seven and a half miles.Turn right and bear left onto Lawnswood for approximately a mile, before turning left onto Lawnswood Road.

At the end of Lawnswood Road, turn left onto Wordsley Green and then left onto High Street/Stream Road (A491). After approximately a third of a mile, take the second right into Auckland Road – the entrance to Lawnswood Ride is on your right.

Parts of the old canal network are conservation areas too and from Wordsley Dock it climbs up hill to Dudley through an attractive flight of 16 locks, past attractive lock cottages and unusual wooden timber warehouses. The 100ft Red House Glass Cone, with its own wharf, was used for the manufacture of glass until 1936 and is now one of only four such cones left in the UK.

Lawnswood Ride is situated on the site of the historic Wordsley Hospital in Stourbridge - parts of which are being restored and retained.
