About the Band Straight Razor Angels hail from the glorious landscape and industrial epicentre that is Yorkshire. Drawing inspiration from classic American rock ‘n’ roll, country, blues and rockabilly and fusing it with the influence of gritty and socially aware British punk, the band have produced music that is both musically hypnotic and lyrically raw. Just think what would happen if Johnny Cash and Elmore James jammed with the Clash….

Knowing that they shared similar influences and having already collaborated on other projects, the band members joined forces just over two years ago to write and rehearse. These informal sessions produced a wealth of material and lead to the independent release of their eponymous debut album, closely followed by the single ‘On the Pull’. 2012 sees the continuation of their journey as they release their second album and embark on a spring-time promotional tour to support the release.

On Tour Straight Razor Angels will be undertaking a tour of club venues across the UK in order to promote their soon to be released second album. Dates in Manchester, Halifax, Leeds, Sheffield and Norwich are already confirmed, with more being added soon. The band is looking to secure headline shows in smaller clubs but preferably support slots alongside other artists.
