A diving mask is the piece of equipment that most intimately connects a diver to the underwater environment.

If there were a mask that adapted the human form so well to the underwater environment that it inspired divers to experience a transformative assimilation to the ocean, then the quality of existing divers’ experiences would improve, and such a design would attract more people to dive.
