GETTING STARTEdACTIVATE wATCH (FIRST TIME USE ONLY)Pressandholdanykeyuntilthescreenisactivated.

SET TIME AND USER DATAToeffectivelyusethewatchforcalculatingcaloriesburned(basedontheuser’sage,weight,heartratereadingandexercisetime),youareadvisedtosetthetimeandyourpersonaldatainSetUpMode.Referto“TimeSettingMode”and“UserDataSettingMode”inSetUpMode.

IMPORTANT:Remembertosetthetimeanduserdataaftereverybatteryreplacementorpowerreset.

bATTERY REPLACEMENTThewatchusesaCR20323Vbattery,whichhasalreadybeeninstalled.If or flashes,itmeansbatterypowerislowandshouldbereplaced.Ifbatterypowerislow,alarmbeeping,backlightandheartratemeasuringfunctionswillbedisabled.Toassurethewaterresistancetakethewatchtoalocaljewelrystoreforbatteryreplacement.Improperreplacementwillvoidthewarranty.

HEART RATE MEASUREMENTYoucanmeasureyourheartrateanytime(exceptinsettingsub-modes).1. Wearthewatchonyourwristandplacefingertips(suggesttouseindexfingerand

middlefinger)onbothmetallicplatestoenterHeartRateMode.Abeeptonewillbeheard,“HR”bannerisdisplayedand willflashtoindicatethewatchisdetectingheartratereading.Itwilltakebetween6-10secondstodetectaheartratereading.

2. Ifavalidheartratereadingisdetected,thescreenbelowwillbedisplayed.Removeyourfingers.

3. ToexitHeartRateMode,removeyourfingersfor3secondsorpressanykey.

TIPS:Foranaccurateheartratereading,makesure:• youarenotcurrentlyrunning,swimmingordoingexcercise• towearthewatchonyourwristandthatyourfingertipstouch

HEART RATE MEASUREMENTNOTES:• Heartratemeasurementcannotbeactivatedifkeypadislockedorbatterypower

islow.• Cleanthewatchwithasoftdrycloth.• The2metallicplatesareverysensitive.Accidentallytouchingthemwilltrigger

heartratemeasurement.Hence,topreventfromaccidentallyactivatingheartratemeasurement,youcanselecttolockthekeypad.

calculation.To reset stopwatch and calorie value:Stoporpausethestopwatch,thenpressandholdSET/RSTfor2seconds.

TRAINING zONESThereareseveraltrainingzonesthatarerelevanttoafitnessprogram.Themostpopularzonerangeisfrom50%to80%ofyourmaximumheartrate.Thisiswhereyouachievecardiovascularbenefits,burnfat,andbecomefitter.Whenprogrammingyourwatch,thelowerpercentageofthezoneyouchoosebecomesyourlowerheartratelimitandthehigherpercentagebecomestheupperheartratelimit.

HealthMaintenance 65-78%Thisisthelowesttrainingintensitylevel.Itisgoodforbeginnersandthosewhowanttostrengthentheircardiovascularsystems.

AerobicExercise 65-85%

Increasesstrengthandendurance.Itworkswithinthebody’soxygenintakecapability,burnsmorecaloriesandcanbemaintainedforalongperiodoftime.

AnaerobicExercise 78-90%

Generatesspeedandpower.Itworksatorabovethebody’soxygenintakecapability,buildsmuscle,andcannotbemaintainedforalongperiodoftime.

TheupperandlowerheartratelimitsarecalculatedbymultiplyingyourMHRbythepercentagesoftheselectedtrainingzone.For example:A40-year-oldtrainingforbasichealthmaintenance:• HisUpperHeartRateLimit[220-40(age)]×78%• HisLowerHeartRateLimit[220-40(age)]×65%

IMPORTANT:Alwayswarmupbeforeexerciseandselectthetrainingzonethatbestsuitsyourphysique.Exerciseregularly,20to30minutespersession,threetofourtimesaweekforahealthiercardiovascularsystem.
