● Extend school nurse contracts from 7 hours to 7.5 hours per day, retroactive to August 26, 2021
● Extend 260-day health services supervisor and program administrator contracts from 7 hours to 8 hours per day, retroactive to July 1, 2021
● Add clinic assistant stipends for licensure, effective mid-October payroll○ Add a $2,000 stipend for current LPN license○ Add a $1,000 stipend for current EMT or CNA

● Create up to 30 part-time positions for contact tracing, with hiring preference for licensed and practicing nurses
● Compensation rates up to 20 hours per week:○ RN: $35 per hour○ LPN: $25 per hour○ Medical or call center experience: $20 per hour○ Other: $15 per hour
● Extenuating circumstances that warrant contact tracing on the weekend will be paid at $45 per hour (approval required)

DEFINING “CLOSE CONTACT”QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS
CLOSE CONTACT (as defined by CDC)● Someone within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15
minutes or more over a 24-hour period● Exception: Students within 3-6 feet if both were correctly wearing masks
inside the classroom setting● Exception: Students on a school bus if there is a documented seating
chart and students remained in assigned seats while wearing masks
NOT REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE● Positive COVID-19 test within past 3 months with no new symptoms● Fully vaccinated (2 weeks after second dose) with no symptoms● Must continue to wear a mask at all times, including outside, for 14 days

BOARD ACTION REQUESTED10-Day Return with Negative COVID-19 Test Result
● Beginning October 4, 2021, offer a 10-day return to school/work for students and staff who have been quarantined and provide a negative COVID-19 rapid test result (test on Day 10 and return on Day 11)
● Supply home tests to families in need through ViSSTA grant
● Those who do not provide a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to complete a 14-day quarantine before returning

Screening Testing for Student Athletes
● Independent vendor hiring staff to conduct weekly testing
● Weekly COVID-19 testing will begin November 8, 2021 for in-season middle and high school student athletes (all sports)
● Student athletes who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 should submit proof of vaccination to their school health advisor to be exempt from testing
● Student athletes who are NOT fully vaccinated will be required to submit a consent form for weekly testing
