The HTLC Strategic Intent (2020-2024) has been shaped by the College Council in collaboration with the school community. The document has five strategic priorities that will inform the operational direction of the college. Each of the priorities are underpinned by a set of broader statements that aim to inform and monitor the desired strategic purpose and direction over the coming years. It is hoped that together as a college we will plan for a future with a focussed, well-informed and proactive alignment of our actions and operations within this strategic intent.

On behalf of the college community we would like to acknowledge and give thanks to those who positively contributed to the development of the HTLC Strategic Intent (2020–2024). We look forward to developing a richer future together, as we aspire to provide excellence in Christian co-education for all of those individuals who call Holy Trinity Lutheran College their school.

A Christian community • Celebrate and strengthen our Lutheran

identity through a Gospel centred approach that informs all teaching and learning.

• Ensure staff actively participate in ongoing theological and spiritual formation in the Lutheran tradition.

• Engage in enriching Christian studies and worship programs that provide meaningful and valued student engagement.

• Build on current relational practices that promote connections between the college, the community and the church.

A learning community • Foster a culture of learning that is

prioritised, purposeful and relational, ensuring that monitoring and feedback practices enhance student outcomes.

• Provide opportunities to support and develop spiritual, social, emotional and leadership capabilities of each student.

• Invest in developing high-performing and passionate staff who motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.

• Develop, maintain and encourage students to engage in valued extra-curricular and co-curricular programs.

A connected community • Deepen connection and strengthen

communication within the whole school community.

• Champion active and engaged parent and alumni communities.

• Create and nurture environments that foster collaboration, cooperation and belonging, while valuing and developing relationships in the college community.

• Celebrate diversity and encourage globally focussed and connected partnerships.

A caring community• Engage in evidence-based wellbeing

programs that support our framework of principles that align with the Lutheran Church of Australia.

• Strengthen strategies that identify, monitor and respond to student wellbeing and welfare.

• Respect difference and nurture relationships built on service and love.

• Ensure community voice is heard and valued within our pastoral care framework.

A sustainable community• Effectively and efficiently align college

operations and the use of resources across the whole school.

• Provide opportunities and experiences that foster personal and professional growth within our educational setting.

• Ensure best practice in compliance, risk management and school governance.

• Maintain organisational integrity through an alignment of the College’s values, policies and practices.
