Vision

Mission

TTO Circle, an important actor of the innovation chain in Europe and a key reference for national RD&I policies

• Share expertise, exchange best practices and develop synergies at the European level in the field of IP and knowledge/technology transfer

• Provide support to EU research and innovation policies, building on the member’s collective experience, their catalytic function and role modelcapacity, and reduce the fragmentation of European research

We need then a work-programme …

Educating

• Organise joint trainings and visits of staff to the premises of partner PROs• Explore possibilities for short term staff exchange• Contribute to the establishment of standards for the certification of TT professionals

Communicating

• Establish direct channels of communication between TTOs of European large PROs;• Bring the common needs of the TTOs to the attention of both the EU and Member States' policy makers;• Discuss best approaches to improve access to the results of publicly-financed R&D;

Sharing

• Share best practices and provide a web platform for exchanging documents, databases and working tools• Establish a forum for the exchange of ideas that enhance and build an understanding of the practice of technology transfer with emphasis on management practices and TT strategies

Collaborating

• Foster collaboration among Members and develop a common understanding of TT issues• Investigate the opportunity of establishing patent pools and/or cross-licensing in technological sectors• Develop joint activities, events or actions relevant to technology transfer

• TTO-CIRCLE members to send proposals for work-packages before 15 December 2011 (email from secretariat to be sent)

• Call for volunteers! Meeting in Brussels?

• Possible criteria for prioritising proposals

– Impact on Europe 2020 / Innovation Union (e.g. new jobs, GDP growth)

– added value at EU level
