BOX 19830 BROOKLYN PARK, MD 21225 News & Views Club Members, Who would have known that by the middle of July we would still be waiting to open our cruise lot. As for everyone, this is a year we will never forget. Unfortunately due to the continued rise in Covid-19 cases and restrictions we are still unable to make any decisions as to when we will be able to go forward with our events. We had hoped to have a general meeting this month but it looks as though we will put it ountil August. However, I plan to schedule a Board Meeting. On Saturday July 11 a group of us took a cruise up to the Flight 93 9-11 Memorial in Pennsylvania. Chris, a friend of Russ Richards planned out the trip. We took a beautiful ride through Gambrill State Park in western Maryland into PA. Along with Chris and a few of his friends, Club Members, Diane & myself, Russ, Mike and Nick Raimondo and Dave & Linda Williams made the 300 mile trip. We rode through some nice countryside, over the mountains spotting bears and deer along the way. The closer we got to the Memorial the weather changed and by the time we got there it was windy, somewhat rainy and chilly. It took us by surprise. We walked along the flight path and saw the site of the impact. It was very touching, we walked through the Visitor Center and relived the experiences of those aboard Flight 93. It was a nice experience to pay our respects to the heroes. There are some photos in this Newsletter. I wish I had the answers to the many questions about when we will celebrate our Anniversary, are we still having our picnic, what about the dance and most importantly will we be able to have our Veterans Show. I hope everyone understands the risk we take by holding any of these events as a not for profit organization. If there is anything we have to learn this year is to be patient and think about staying healthy. I hope this finds you and your family in good health and I look forward to the day when we can get together. Be safe in your travels. We will email you with any updated information.
