Strengthening Innovations For A Reformed Curriculum

One must agree that the world evolves and develops, whether or not you believe in Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

The world is constantly evolving, as is human civilization. This evolution connotes a positive change: progress, always for the better. In the age of smart phones and selfies, advancement seems to happen faster. Facebook pages refresh in seconds bringing forth news, new research, new technologies and ideas. Every week, new cellphone models are released, each time better than the other.

In order to adapt, we must learn how to be responsive. This not only means that we should be open to all these changes, but that we advance along with the world.

If we look at the very foundation of things, we should then be focusing on improving our educational systems. It is with education that we become self-dependent. It contributes to our well-being, and in turn we use it to contribute to the growth of our nation. Therefore, education has to evolve along with the world to meet the needs of our ever changing society.

However, due to rapid changes in some areas, the education system sometimes struggles to keep up with the pace in implementing these changes. When they are achieved, are the resources and approaches used sufficient for these innovations to be sustainable? Are these changes enough to fulfil our future needs?

Therefore we need to enhance the different strategies we use for education. This is a responsibility not only of the school administrations but all stakeholders: the government, parents, and students, as well as private organizations and other citizens. Investing on education is investing on the countrys future.

This makes the call for stronger strategies for a better, reformed curriculum more relevant.
