How has the Research and Planning made you more creative through AS/A2?

The weaknesses

For this post I should of made sure that when I came to analysing all of the videos that I should of made sure that they were of a horror genre so that I was able to get the best research as possible.

This post however does not analyse well enough the content of each of the opening sequences. And therefore we do not successfully get a full understanding of the opening sequences.

This post does use research that I have found from a book, however when looking through the book we were only looking for the information we needed and did not look through the whole book to see if there was anything else that we needed.

Our roles chart in the planning stage was a weakness because the write-up was not detailed enough meaning that we had not planned what each of us was doing in the group well enough as we should of done. Therefore our roles chart was too brief.

The Strengths

This post is an advantage as we researched into the different sounds we could use coming up with a large number of different sounds which we were able to include.

We kept our research into one key website so that it was easier to sort and organize the music that we were going to possibly use.

This was a positive post because we had example sounds which we could then use to produce our final sound track which would be played over the opening sequence.

This post for planning was a success because we knew exactly what were were going to use and include in the film. This would be knowing the characters, props and also costumes and makeup. This therefore went successful from this plan when we came to the shooting day for filming the opening sequence.
