Our journey to The Bend began
with a love of fitness. The more we
immersed ourselves in exercise,
the more we suffered nagging
injuries.
We believed trying to look and feel your best
shouldn’t lead to more pain. So we tried every
popular recovery technique, like yoga, pilates,
massage, and physical therapy to recover.
Each experience took too much time or money,
was difficult to schedule, or required use of
insurance. Our favorite treatment, and the one
that delivered the best functional results, was
always the assisted stretching offered after
personal training.
That's when that a-ha moment happened. Like
DryBar did with blowdrying, let's create the
best experience possible around stretching.

The Solution:
Assisted Stretching
Not stretching leads to metabolic waste remaining in the muscles causing stiffness that affects the movement of joints. Those that do stretch often do so improperly.
46% of people skip stretching N Y T I M E S
Additional Studies, including by the Mayo Clinic, have shown stretching:
-Increases flexibility, coordination and agility -Improves cardiovascular performance -Speeds removal of toxins like lactic acid in muscles -Reduces inflammation and pain -Reduces stress on the nervous system -Improves athletic performance -Decreases risk of activity-based injury -Increases range of motion and blood flow to muscles

The Bend vs. The Alternatives
The Bend offers soft tissue pain relief and personalized treatment like
massages, but it is less expensive, more focused on functional benefits like
flexibility, more convenient within your day-to-day life, and less invasive.
Massage More expensive
Not focused on flexibility
Too invasive
Less convenient

Stretch therapy is the reason many people sign up for personal training.
We’ve taken the best part of the experience and perfected it, without our
customers having to pay over $150 per hour. Like DryBar excised the best
part of visiting a hair salon, we’ve done the same with personal training.
Personal Training
More expensive
Less focused

The Bend offers a premium, personalized experience, invigorating add-
ons, and better trained stretch therapists within a thoughtfully designed
space. The difference between StretchLab and The Bend will be the
difference between an average spinning studio and SoulCycle.
Stretch Lab
More bare bones experience
No personalization
Limited experience
Inconsistent stretch therapist
T H E B E N D
Yoga The Bend offers the benefits of yoga while you can simply relax. Stretch
therapy is personalized to your issues that day, is available for walk-ins,
and at shorter time increments than yoga classes (generally over 70
minutes). Some people are intimidated by yoga or feel there is a stigma with
its practice.
Focused on enlightenment
Takes more effort
Less personalized
On their schedule
More intimidating
