Before You Begin

•Print 4 copies of the templates (found below) at 100%, add 1/4” seam allowance and cut out. There are 2 templates per page (A & B), so you will have 8 templates. You can use a lightweight paper such as newsprint, tracing paper, or use regular printer paper (it will just be a little more effort to tear the papers off).

Cutting Instructions

From the Ten Squares pack, choose 2 squares for the background and 2 squares for the center of the star. Select 10 squares for the star strips and separate them into 2 groups of 5 squares each.

-From the two background squares: Cut 4 squares 5” x 5” from each fabric, then cut the 5” squares diagonally to make triangles.

-From the two center star squares: Cut 2 strips 2 1/2” x 10” from each fabric, then cut into rectangles 2 1/2” x 5”.

-From the 10 star strip squares: Cut 4 strips 1” x 10” from each fabic, then cut each strip in half so they measure 1” x 5”.

Piecing Instructions

Step 1: Paper Piece Templates

-Piece template A in numerical order, beginning in the middle and working your way out.-Trim excess fabric, making sure to leave a 1/4” seam allowance around the template.-Repeat to create 8 paper pieced sections (4 template A and 4 template B).

Step 2: Assemble Quilt

Sew A to B, matching seams, and press seam allowance open. Remove papers.

Repeat to make 4 blocks.

Sew blocks together as pictured.

Press seams open.

Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy your quilt!page 2
