Sacramental Information & New Parishioners Baptism: Expectant parents, who are parishioners, should contact the office four to six (4 - 6) months before the birth of the child. Marriage: Couples planning marriage need to make an appointment with the pastor at least six months before the intended wedding date to begin the preparation process. A wedding date cannot be scheduled without approval of the pastor. Anointing of the Sick: Contact the office to schedule an appointment, home or nursing home visit, and, if death is imminent , contact the office for immediate action. First Communion and Confirmation: Contact the Elementary DRE or High School DRE respectively. Holy Communion for the Homebound: Contact the parish office to request a visit. If you are interested in becoming Catholic or receiving Confirmation as an adult, or if you simply want to learn more about your faith, contact the office to inquire about RCIA. “Jesus said to them, ‘Come, and you will see’” (John 1:39). RCIA is offered for adults seeking to become Catholic, or adult Catholics seeking to receive First Holy Communion, Confirmation, or have their civil marriage blessed by God’s Church. INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CCD TEACHER?

The Elementary CCD program is in search of active practicing Catholic members of the Sts. Peter and Paul Church Parish who strongly desire to guide our youth to Christ. For more information contact Janet Hebert 298-2844 or Bethany Duplechin 501-6223.

Attention parents of 1st graders and new parishioners: CCD registration for 1st through 8th graders is underway. To register your child for CCD classes you must complete and submit a census and registration form. You can obtain a copy of these forms from the church website (stspeterandpaulscott.org), rectory or in the vestibule of the church. Please call 232-6167 for more information. A $10 late fee will be assessed after Sept. 1st.

The High School CCD program is in need of small group leaders. We are looking for someone who can commit to us from October to April, someone who is looking to be more involved in the parish but also someone who wants to actively help guide our youth to Christ. e FOOD FOR THE JOURNEY: The Central Deanery of the Diocese of Lafayette presents “Food for the Journey”, a monthly lunchtime speakers series designed to help Catholics live out our faith in our daily lives. ANNULMENT PROCESS WORKSHOP: October 16, 2018, the Judicial Vicar for the Diocese of Lafayette, Msgr. Robie Robichaux, will be presenting workshops on Declaration of Nullity and what is needed to begin the process. Sts. Peter and Paul School News Hearts for Hope - Technology is ever-present and constantly growing. Today, it is impera ve for parents to become armored with informa on and awareness of the Louisiana's laws for tex ng, cyberbullying and other "newer" abuse laws in order to be er protect children in today's age of rapid exchange of informa on and communica on. To decrease abuse online, adults should a end the Hearts of Hope #NowMa ersL8R session. The session will be presented by Val Senegal on Wednesday, September 12th at 5:30pm in the cafeteria. Because of the nature of the informa on, this is an adult-only session. All school parents/guardians, grandparents, and adult parishioners are invited to a end. Safe Environment Training - The Diocese of Lafaye e requires all family members of students who wish to par cipate in events for school to become Safe Environment trained. The next ini al training is Wednesday, September 19th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. Par cipants are required to bring their driver’s license and social security number, the address and phone number of one personal reference, and the address and phone number of one professional reference. The cost for cer fica on is $10.00, payable by check or exact cash. Grandparents Day – STSPP will celebrate our grandparents of PK, 1, 3, 5, 7 grades on Monday, October 1nd and Grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8 on Tuesday, October 2nd.
