UPCOMING EVENTS Professional Development Events: Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Mu Gamma Chapter, presents: “Professional Development and Career Planning”. Join nurses & student nurses from

around the Treasure Valley for this event, Wednesday, October 10th, 6-7pm in the St. Luke’s

Washington Group Building 1 (corner of Broadway Ave. & Front St.), Hot Springs Auditorium. Free to members, $5 for non-members; snacks & refreshments provided. RSVP: emilygalloway@u.boisestate.edu Representatives from ANA-Idaho will be on campus Monday, October 15th, 12-2pm in the Norco Building, Rm. 114. Our guests will be sharing about the exciting new Nursing Center of Idaho, whereby ALL Idaho nursing organizations will be coming together under one roof. Volunteer with Rake Up Boise!

The SNA is forming a team to rake up leaves for elderly & disabled citizens, Sat, Nov. 10th

& Sun, Nov. 18th. To join the team, email DaniellePerryman@u.boisestate.edu no later than October 17th. Please let us know if you are able to bring a rake (or two) & gloves! October SNA Board Meeting Date & Time TBD, Norco Building, Rm. 412 SNA Board Meetings are held once a month. To join SNA, visit bsusna.com, click the “Get Involved” tab, select “How to Join” from the drop-down menu, and follow the instructions. Student Nurses’ Association Elections Develop your leadership skills (& your resume) by serving on the SNA Board. Join with your nursing student peers to plan events, guest speakers, & volunteer activities for the School of Nursing. You’ll also have the opportunity to travel to the National Student Nurses’ Association conference in Salt Lake City this spring. Many positions are open – see the flyer below for more details.

President Brienne Sandow, St. Luke’s Senior Director of Staffing and Scheduling, and Secretary Anna Rostock, St. Luke’s Clinical Support Unit Nursing Supervisor, will be sharing about the exciting new Nursing Center of Idaho whereby ALL Idaho nursing organizations will come together under one roof! Learn more about the Legislative Committee, benefits of involvement, and opportunities to attend the ANA Quality & Innovation Conference of April 2019 in Kissimmee, FL.

ANA-Idaho is the only professional organization representing ALL registered nurses (RNs) in Idaho to advance the nursing profession by promoting professional development, high standards of nursing practice, safety and wellbeing of nurses in the workplace, and advocating on health care issues.
