About Student Success Day
Student Success Day is a day to get connected to campus resources and engage with your fellow students, faculty and staff. Faculty and staff offer presentations, workshops and activities to help you be successful in school, prepare for graduation or transfer and achieve your career goals. Morning sessions are devoted to your school and major. Please check the schedule for offered sessions. If you are unsure of your school, please check the “theme” section for your major.
Afternoon sessions are devoted to a keynote speaker, resource fair and non-academic support. Please check the schedule for offered sessions.
How the Day is Organized
The day is organized in a conference format and will give you a chance to interact informally with faculty and staff around a variety of important topics. For an overview of the day, see the Schedule-at-a-Glance on page 2. For more in-depth information about programming, see the detailed schedule starting on page 3. If you need assistance, please check in with a greeter table for additional help. Greeters are located in each skyway and the T. Plaza.

This is the first of four sessions that will give students information on the pathway from their first semester at MCTC to MCTC graduation with a job and the option to complete a four year degree at Metro State. Students will walk a “pathway” that starts at the Learning Center and ends at the School of Business and Economics faculty offices.
At this session, students will be introduced to the Learning Center and meet Ninh Phan and Kim Klein, the two Academic Advisors for the School of Business and Economics. Students will also receive their “Passport” which will be stamped at each of the four sessions they attend.
