North Carolina transfer students face many challenges. One of the most common challenges is understanding how to access and understand information related to the transfer process. This includes:
– Transfer process and requirements– Transfer courses and credits– Program requirements – Important contact information– Financial– Campus cultural and structural differences

CFNC Resources for Transfer Students
• CFNC.org offers students, parents, and counselors useful tools that allows them to:
1. See how courses transfer between institutions
2. Manage college applications
3. Search for colleges based on specific criteria
4. Take virtual tours of colleges and universities
5. Search for scholarships and grants

CFNC Student Transfer Navigator
Student Transfer Navigator provides a course equivalence report for students who have
taken or plan to take courses at any of North Carolina’s postsecondary
institutions.
Example: ENG 111 (NC Community College) = ENG 110 (NC 4 year institution)
Students can compare course equivalence between two institutions in three easy steps.• Step 1: Select courses• Step 2: Confirm academic history• Step 3: View an Equivalence Report
