2015 is an exciting year for Manchester. In February, the Whitworth
reopened after a £15 million development and has been
transformed into a 21st century gallery in the park. In the same
month, FutureEverything, the award-winning innovation lab for
digital culture and annual festival celebrated their 20th
anniversary and hosted an ambitious programme of music and
film commissions, premieres and performances at RNCM.
Wonder Women, a feminist festival launches this month with a
programme of events across the city to celebrate International
Women’s Day 2015. RNCM officially opens its £7m concert hall
this month. While Cornerhouse closes in April, HOME, the new
multi-arts centre opens in May with an opening weekend of art,
music, performance and celebration.
Manchester International Festival, returns in July for three weeks of
new commissions from some of the world’s best-known and most
experimental artists.
