INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO RELEVANT GROUPS
Kazakhstan population consists from 131 nationalities and it was the last republic
to separate from Soviet Union. 63 percentage of population consists from
Kazaks while others are Russians, Ukrainians and etc.
Many Kazakh students speak Russian language and tied to Russian culture.
When they come to Cyprus, these students seem interesting cause they can
freely speak three languages, Kazakh Russian and English.
INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO RELEVANT
GROUPSCypriot people are very hospitable and like sharing their traditions with other cultures. surrounding Mediterranean countries.
For Turkish Cypriots, family life is essential, they spend huge part of their time with gatherings , family barbeques and picnics. The influence of the family on Turkish Cypriots is very strong. Despite there were many social changes in Northern Cyprus recently, family bases are still very important
place for people. In North Cyprus community, family comes first. For example, still need approval of the family members. Approval for marriage is given
when parents have researched education and social status of future relative.
Students interaction passes actively. There are plenty of small Turkısh bars where they play lıve musıc. Usually all customers tent to sing along with
performer. Normally these performances happen at the end of the week but some bars are open every day. According to small research, majority of Kazakh
students like Turkish music. As it seems most of them tent to learn language out of the songs they hear. Cypriot culture has its own expressions that only
Cypriots use. For example napan be gardas? Durumcuklar? Cypriot food is very popular between Kazakh students. , one of the most important products in Cyprus that passed from the Arabs to the Greeks, and from the Greeks to the
Turks. Arab people call this cheese hallum, and the Greeks, haloumi.
INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO RELEVANT
GROUPS
Hellim can be prepared from goat or sheep milk. The best is the one made from goat’s milk. Sheep’s milk also makes very good hellim . Cow’s milk hellim doesn’t stay good more than two months, but goat or sheep’s milk hellim can be stored for over a year in its own liquid, and is more flavorful than that made from cow’s milk.
To discover students life in EMU, small research was conducted in terms of the project. 10 Kazakh and 10 Turkish Cypriot students were taken as a
case.According to small research that was made during this project 9 out of 10
Kazakh students are positively influenced by Turkish Cypriots culture. Many of them want to stay on island. Also, students from Kazakhstan
often do and stay to work in Cyprus. Turkish Cypriots also influenced with Kazakh students in a positive way. They often learn some Kazakh words and word combinations. There are
also many couples and marriages of this two target groups.
INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO RELEVANT
GROUPS
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE RESEARCH
• Further projects can be conducted in terms of other target groups. • For example it will be interesting to research Russian or other post
soviet republics and their interaction in EMU.• Other research can be conducted in terms of other universities on
Cyprus for example in Girne American University or Lefkosha Universities.
• Future research can be conducted in other countries and be compared with results of this research.

ON Adaptation to new culture is interesting
process. Young people find themselves in different country with its own culture and
traditions. This project and the end i want to say this two relevant group similar with each other, first of all both of this group from root of Turks, and some traditions,
morality is closed to each other. Students leave their homes and settle in different environment. For some students It is not easy to adapt to the new environment ,
staying without parents, having their own budget and limited amount of money. But
this is our life and sometimes we meet with some difficult situations, tables but this is school of our life specially in a student life
