Students Learning with Communities

As part of the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Programme for Students Learning with Communities, almost 1000 students in 2009/10 participated in course-based collaborative projects with community partners, applying their theoretical learning to real-world challenges. This exhibition showcases the exciting work that these collaborations have produced.

Students Learning with Communities is an innovative programme which involves students working with community groups and not-for-profit organisations to achieve their mutual objectives. The concept is well established in the US higher education system, but DIT is at the forefront in introducing it in Ireland.

Projects will be exhibited as part of Design Week 2010 in DIT Bolton Street (Nov 1-6) and as part of Innovation Dublin 2010 and Science Week 2010 in DIT Bolton Street, Kevin St, Aungier St, Cathal Brugha St and Mountjoy Sq (Nov 10-21)
