• M-Audio BX5 A• Used primarily as a reference monitor for a

recording studio.• This particular model would be a common choice

for a ‘home recording studio.’

• JBL JRX 110• This is a live sound ‘monitor.’• Musicians on stage will have these speakers in

front of them facing ‘up’ so that they can hear themselves.

» Most often these are used to hear vocals

• Sony Tower Speakers • Your typical stereo speaker for the

home. • Recording Artists, Sound

Engineers, would have similar speakers to hear their ‘compressed’ creations through regular speakers.

• Shure SM 58 – Most commonly used as a vocal Microphone.

• ***Famous band Rush rely on sm57’s and sm58s during concerts.

• Speakon – connects loud speakers to amplifiers
