GEOGRAPHICALLYThis year-round guide is organized in such a way that you can drive along the route around Peggy’s Cove, St. Margaret’s Bay, and the Aspotogan Peninsula. GPS coordinates are included in this guide for all Studio Tour locations.

DURING THE STUDIO TOUROn July 6, 7 and 8, artists and galleries along the route will open their doors from 10am to 5pm. Follow the blue lighthouse signs along the route and celebrate art!

YEAR ROUNDPlease call studios ahead of time to avoid disappointment. Most galleries are open daily.

OPENING NIGHT GALAJuly 4, 7pm-9:30pm Shining Waters Marine, Tantallon Tickets $25 The festival will open on July 4 with a gala reception featuring live musical entertainment, refreshments, a silent auction of art/artisanal works, and displays of the Double Take Video and creations. Double Take is a new artist engagement event in the months leading up to the Festival, involving 17 artists jointly creating works.

STUDIO TOURJuly 6-8, 10am-5pm St. Margaret’s Bay AreaChart your own free, self-guided tour through quaint communities, coves and harbours where over 60 artists invite you to visit them in their studios and group shows. Explore 39 locations in communities from Prospect to East River. Experience the artistic process at work through demonstrations and exhibits.

PAINT PEGGY’S COVEJuly 14-16, 10am-5pm Village of Peggy’s CoveIn this three-day plein air event on the rocks and wharves of Peggy’s Cove, 36 artists create new works and interact with visitors. Paintings produced are offered for sale. A Children’s Art Tent offers free creative activities. In the Demo Tent see artisans creating works in stone, wood, ceramic and metal.
