Flexible study options

Macquarie offers a diverse and flexible Study Abroad program, with a range of courses in many different areas, so students can choose the courses that most interest them.

Alternatively, students who prefer a specialised semester can opt to complete a Study Abroad Certificate and gain an in-depth understanding of one particular field.

Stand out from the packMacquarie’s Global Leadership Program (GLP) is an extracurricular program that can be undertaken alongside your semester. It provides you with unparalleled opportunities to enhance your study experience, develop leadership skills and improve cross-cultural understanding.

The program has been designed so that you not only gain global skills and understanding, you put them into practice by studying, volunteering and participating in activities within Sydney and around Australia.

When you successfully complete the GLP you will receive a certificate of completion, as well as reference letters, which can provide a competitive edge in the global employment market.

Macquarie University has accommodation to suit every student, ranging from fully-catered residences to homestays with Australian families.

With two residential colleges, and several options for apartments both on and off-campus, including fully-catered or self-catering, single-sex rooms, private studio apartments or shared bedrooms, Macquarie University has something for everyone.

The cost of housing varies according to the type of accommodation you choose. Some accommodation options include utilities in the weekly or monthly rent.

How to Apply

You can apply to Macquarie University either directly or through an approved representative.

1. Complete your application form with your certificate option or your desired courses, and attach:

• official transcripts of your current program

• evidence of English-language proficiency (if applicable)

• a copy of your passport

2. Submit your application as shown on the form

3. Accept your offer and arrange your Overseas Student Health Care

4. Prepare for your arrival to Macquarie University!
