Myths of Study Abroad
• I can’t afford to study abroad (lots of scholarships)
• I have to speak another language (travel courses are in English)
• Studying abroad will keep me from
graduating on time (travel courses can be fit in anytime)
• I can’t study abroad until my junior year (any year)
• I really only need to study abroad if I plan on working internationally (soft skills important everywhere)
Why Students Choose Faculty-led Travel Courses
A Travel Course Is For You If
You've never traveled before
You want an introduction to the world
You want to travel with your class
You want a snapshot of agriculture in another part of the world
