    EducationAdelaideischargedwithdevelopingandexpandingSouthAustraliasshareofthenational

    educationexportmarket.WepromoteAdelaideasacentreofeducationexcellenceandhighlightthemanyadvantagesforinternationalstudentswhochoosetolive,studyandworkinAdelaide.

    EstablishedinNovember1998underthePublicCorporationsAct,EducationAdelaidereportstotheMinisterforEmployment,TrainingandFurtherEducation.TheorganisationgrewoutoftheformerEducationIndustryDevelopmentCouncil(EIDC),whichaimedtopromoteandmarkettheexportpotentialofthestateseducationindustry.

    TheorganisationsstakeholdersincludekeySouthAustralianGovernmentagenciesandeducationproviders,andEducationAdelaideiscommittedtofosteringandstrengtheningtheseties.

    TheStateGovernmentfundsEducationAdelaidethroughtheDepartmentofFurtherEducation,EmploymentScienceandTechnology(DFEEST).PrincipalfundingisalsoprovidedthroughtheAdelaideCityCouncilandSouthAustraliaspublicuniversities:TheUniversityofAdelaide;FlindersUniversity;andtheUniversityofSouthAustralia.

    EducationAdelaidesmembershipprogramalsoprovidesmorethan35participatinginstitutions(includingCarnegieMellonUniversityfromtheUnitedStatesandCraneldUniversityfromtheUnitedKingdom)withkeymarketintelligenceandaccesstoadiverserangeofinnovative,dynamicmarketingopportunitiesandcommunitysupportprogramsforstudents.

    TheAustralianBureauofStatistics(ABS)statesthattheinternationaleducationindustryprovided

    $741milliontotheSouthAustralianeconomyin2007-08;up16.5percentfromthepreviousnancialyear.Nationally,theindustrycontributed$13.7billionintotheAustralianeconomy.

    Adelaidecontinuestoattractrecordnumbersofinternationalstudents,withmorethan27,000choosingAdelaideasstheirstudydestinationin2008.Thisrepresentsanincreaseof18.5percenton2007gures.

    Internationaleducationsupportsover3,500localjobsandisthestateslargestservicesectorexport

    andthefourthlargestoverallexport.

    Internationalstudentspayfullfeesforallcoursesandarenotsubsidisedbygovernment.ThisismandatedinFederallegislationundertheEducationServicesforOverseasStudent(ESOS)Act,whichisadministeredbyAustralianEducationInternational(AEI).AEIistheinternationalarmoftheFederalDepartmentofEducation,EmploymentandWorkplaceRelations(DEEWR)inCanberra.

    ThisStudyAdelaidebrandidentityguidehasbeencreatedasatoolkitforbothinternalandexternal

    usetoensurethatouridentityisestablishedandreinforced.

    ThepurposeistoprovideguidelineswhichwillassistallconcernedinensuringeveryaspectofStudyAdelaidesbrandidentityiscorrectlyandeffectivelypresentedatalltimes.

    ItisvitalthatthebrandidentityprojectedbyStudyAdelaideismaintainedacrossallfacetsofthebusiness.Attentiontodetailintheuseofthecolours,typeandgraphicconventionsofStudyAdelaideisoftheutmostimportance.

    DeviationfromthesebasicprincipleswilldilutetheeffectivenessoftheStudyAdelaidebrandimage,resultinginthelossofrecognitionbyclients,suppliersandcompetitors.
