Purpose

• The purpose of the Study Efficiency Program is to help those that are new to college and those that have had a deficient GPA in the past.

Reasons you may be added to the SEP

• Earned a GPA lower than 2.5

• Are an incoming Freshman

• Display poor study habits

• Any reason deemed appropriate by your counselor

• Volunteers

STUDY EFFICIENCY INSTRUCTIONS•Print out the STUDY EFFICIENCY LOG located on the Battalion website. Click on member’s link. You will find the log under Tracking Forms. You will need a new log each week.

•log hours of study between 1300-2100 Sunday through Thursday (with the exception of holidays). You may log hours at the study locations open prior to 1300 if approved by your counselor.

•Print your name, hours required by your counselor and start date on you log. The start date will always be the Sunday of every week even if you did not log hours on Sunday.

•Go to one of the four Study locations, write the location and your check-in time within the proper blocks. Ask the given monitor to please print and sign their name in the given area. You may remind them that you are with the Navy ROTC Unit.

•To sign-out, follow the same procedure.

•Complete logs and give them to your Plt Sgt at Battalion PT on Mondays.

Responsibilities of individuals•Turn in sheets to Plt Sgt at Mon PT

•Use black ink on all documents

•Take responsibility for actions • missed time=time doubled the next week i.e.. 10 min=20 min etc

• Some of you have been told by your counselors that you don’t have to study within the guidelines of the instruction due to special circumstances
