Study Group’s reputation is founded as much on the quality of the learning experience as on learning outcomes – and on our ability to excel in both.
We are investing progressively in the development of state-of-the-art teaching and residential facilities around the world: purpose-built campuses which provide students and staff with stimulating work and study environments and set new benchmarks for our industry.
Newly refurbished Study Centres have been completed in Sydney, Melbourne, Boston, Los Angeles, New York and, most recently, in Brighton, UK: a stunning, award-winning development in the heart of the city.
Digital technologies have yet to make their full impact on the international education sector. Study Group is leading the way in investing in more flexible, contemporary learner-centred methodologies that, as well as increasing learning efficiency, enhance the learner experience by ensuring Study Group programmes fully engage and excite the ‘digital generation’.
Across the group, the effectiveness of our teachers remains central. Our success in this is everywhere evident in regular surveys, innumerable expressions of student and parent satisfaction and, ultimately, in our year-on-year growth.
It is evident, too, in our outstanding examination results. These consistently place our Bellerbys and Taylors Colleges in the top-tier performance tables in both the UK and Australia.
Teaching quality is additionally confirmed by a wide range of independent accreditation bodies. They demand, as we do, the highest levels of quality and service. 95% of our teachers are educated to degree standard and above.
Study Group employs over 1,500 people worldwide. Our teachers, academic directors, sales and marketing staff, customer service specialists and student counsellors bring commitment and passion to everything we do.
Executive and senior management teams contain acknowledged experts in education and industry. All share a belief in the values which define and drive us.
The welfare and success of our students is at the core of these values. The company’s unique Study Care insurance provides comprehensive security from the moment students leave home to the time they return. Dedicated staff at each Study Centre are experienced in supporting a pluralistic, multinational student body.

Support provided: construction of primary school building, including a three-classroom block, a library, a principal’s office and the provision of books, furniture, a water tank and teacher training.Summary: before intervention in 2006, the village primary school had no latrines. It also had neither the furniture nor resources to provide a quality education and motivation was low among both teachers and pupils. The school’s 6 teachers received little formal training and struggled to react to the high absence and dropout rates. The construction, furnishing and equipping of the primary school, and the training of approximately 400 teachers from the whole district, resulted in an improvement to the standard of teaching in 66 villages across the region.
SD Saney School Aceh, IndonesiaKey statistics: 200 of 700 residents survived the Asian tsunami.Work completed: November 2006. Support provided: complete school reconstruction – 6 classrooms, 1 office, 3 teacher’s accommodation rooms and a prayer room.Summary: being on the west coast, facing the epicentre of the earthquake and tsunami in December 2004, the school was utterly destroyed and the death toll hit the local community hard with only 200 of its 700 residents surviving. The effects of this event were devastating, with only 42 of 130 pupils surviving and of these 13 were orphaned and 15 lost one parent. The completion of the project has resulted in a new school building, an increase in attendance, and sustainable high quality education.
