Written Response
• Matter has characteristic properties that can be changed both physically and chemically. A physical change includes properties like color, density and melting point. An example of a physical change would be tearing a whole piece of paper in half; it is still paper, now it is just 2 separate pieces of paper. A chemical change includes properties like reactivity, combustibility, and acidity. An example of a chemical change would be burning the 2 pieces of paper; it is no longer paper as you have chemically changed its composition
