our range of language courses typically offer 15 hours of tuition a week, with the exception of 20 hours on our homestay programme in oxford.
our timetable is usually organised on a ‘zig-zag’ basis. this means that students will have lessons in the morning and their social programme in the afternoon and evening. this is then reversed on a weekly basis. Consequently, students attend both morning and afternoon lessons on alternate weeks*. this allows the students to get the most of their time with us, with an emphasis put on both education and fun.
all students take an online test before arrival to assess their language knowledge and how well they are able to understand and speak english. this enables us to place them in a class they will be happiest and most successful in. In the case that a student is unable to take an online test prior to arrival, a placement test will be administered at the centre. the maximum class size is 15.
students’ progress is monitored throughout the course in a range of informal assessments conducted by teachers during the learning process, as well as at the end of the course in the form of a departure test.
our philosophy is to educate, encourage and help our students enjoy our course towns. It is often a case of helping students to ‘come out of their shell’, increasing their confidence in using english and providing an opportunity to use it in meaningful situations, both in the classroom and outside while socialising with students from many different countries.

It doesn’t get much better than a genuine real madrid experience with their coaches at the Vallehermoso Campus training ground. students will improve their english, practise some new football skills and all this in one of the most exciting areas of spain. although the course is conducted in english, students will get to see the best of what spain has to offer. madrid is famous for its bustling culture, its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful sites.
While in madrid, the football coaches will always use english to communicate with students. this will provide students with an opportunity to practise their english on the pitch, in a real-life context. there is plenty of english speaking and excitement when out and about as well, whether making a splash at aquopolis Water park or riding the Batman ride at the Warner Brothers amusement park.
the Vallehermoso Campus is situated just outside of madrid. students stay in double and triple rooms with a full board meal plan. all football training takes place on-site.

people come from all over the world to soak up the atmosphere in Brighton: it’s colourful, fun and forward thinking. It’s not a surprise that it’s been voted the ‘happiest place to live in the uK’ year after year. managing to keep its traditional seaside charm, people love relaxing on the beach, taking a stroll along the old Victorian pier or stopping for some fish and chips on the seafront.
But while celebrating British traditions, Brighton is also at the forefront of British culture. It’s easy to see why Brighton is often called ‘Britain’s hippiest city’ when you take a stroll around the little boutiques and twisting alleyways of the bohemian quarter. this is a city with the best of old and new!

It was a great experience at Chelsea both from a sports and educational point of view. I enjoyed speaking English, I experience local traditions and customs, and above all improved my football technique thanks to Chelsea’s excellent and friendly coaches.
Language study Centres welcomed their first international students to the uK in the year 2000. We place students aged14-18 in schools in both the uK and Ireland for 1 term (around 3 months), 2 terms (around 6 months) to a full academic year of 3 terms. We can also place students for semesters. there are a number of different options available and our dedicated and experienced staff offer comprehensive
support from the initial application all the way through until the end of the course. the High school programme is a chance for students to improve their english, enhance their cultural understanding of the uK or Ireland, become immersed in a local school, live with a local family and further their educational horizons while focusing on specific subjects.

My experience in Oxford was fun and exciting, in an unforgettable way. The staff helped create a friendly group atmosphere and helped us interact with students from other countries who lived and studied with us. My and my new friends enjoyed each moment of these magical 14 days in England.

I have had a wonderful experience that has definitely helped me grow, become independent, socialise and improve my language. Getting to know English culture was an interesting aspect of the journey as we got to understand their lifestyle and their way of thinking.

A fantastic experience to say the least; I met so many people from different cultures with whom I’m still in contact! And in 2 weeks our English really improved! A trip definitely to be done again next year in the most beautiful city in the world - London.

I learned to trust and believe in myself. My teachers were so helpful and funny, and I really enjoyed my English lessons. The town was very different from my home, but my host family made me feel very comfortable and helped me practice my English during dinner.

During my language trip I experienced so much that I will never experience again. I met new friends, saw a lot of new things and ate some strange foods. I can never forget the time I have been in England and will come back one day!

Brighton really was the perfect mix of big city and holiday destination. I loved it by the beach and on the pier, and it was very easy to get to town. I spent so much time with my friends shopping and playing and hope I will see them again next year!
