Pastoral care
How we support our students• Tutorial groups of 5-6 students meet fortnightly during first semester
• Try to maintain same tutor throughout degree
• At university level –SSID and Counselling Service
• We CANNOT discuss students with their parents, unless the students give their permission!
Mentoring scheme
• We have a very active Computer Science Society, which is run entirely by students. They run tech talks, coding competitions, 5 a side football – and much more
• They have their own mentoring scheme, where first years are paired with a second or third year student for help and support
