We had come to the frozen august

at the beginning of a twenty first century

Naked and napping on an alabaster sand

listening to the short waves

and twittering birds

The goddesses sigh and yawn

while I sway to a dark rhythm

between volcanic rocks

and monstrous grasses

Neon colors and shades of purple

under endless sky of grey white and turquoise

kissing lovers tasting eternal bliss

I’ll be trying the simplest thing first

see how that goes

Then proceed from there

One plus one plus one

That’s how we build the pyramid

fire stone and breath

that’s how we purify the body

Wake up and prepare yourself

for the pounding surf of life

the breakers and riptide

that try to tear you apart

Walls that bend and sway

to push your heart away

from the flames

Under the waves it gets quieter

the deep sleep of permanent peace

continual softness

In the ocean you are always caressed

forever touching the blood of the earth

Pressure on all sides

triggering your mammalian buoyancy response

Unity is a fact within its walls

like the smallest cat

Under a pile of its brothers and sisters

Or octopus eggs in beaded chains

one and together

There can be no alone

in the relentless grip of the sea

There can be no alone

in the endless grip of the sea

Make of yourself a vessel

for your creators to drink from

pour your molten emotions

into the mold of your life

allowing all impurity to separate

Become what has been asked of you

Release your self

and become of divine service

To one and all who dream of you

and how your story

might be told

The fact is few of us know

what we are doing

we are not aware

Instead we are faking it

to match everyone else

We want to be better

than our imagination

Because for most of our lives

that’s all we know

Better than the best we can imagine

Like climbing a beanstalk

into the sky

Escape your world

Learn to fly

By escaping the part

where we have to admit

we haven’t a clue

Just forget my mistakes

This endless suffering

that I imagine is real

The things I am holding

My life ransom with

What if… We have done wrong?

what will happen as a result?

neurosis ad nauseam

What if? we have to be human?

Have to admit

To being the fool we are

That would be too much

for everyone to know

Were just all faking it

Because we want to look good

just forget my mistakes

make something better

than the rack in my head

Temple of wisdom

I beg to enter you

Bring me out of

my delusional dreams

closer to true understanding

closer to what is real

closer ever to my eternal truth

Fill me ever with the light

that is real

may my mecanations and designs

ever grow to reflect the whole

What is so funny here?

With backward talking

salesman for hire

running the globe

Why aren’t we laughing?

at their merciless display

You have ten thousand stories

of injustice

But still are afraid

to admit how inhuman

this place has become

Good god this is beautiful

accept you came to deal with this

you know more because of all the problems

This is school

you are learning

you’re a human

Try taking the curriculum

all you need is to smile

accept all of this is beyond you

and believe

You know how to fake it

as good as anybody else

This is a collaboration

and everything is different

all of the time

what is the deal?

don’t you want the truth?

don’t you want to be real?

I am the power to change

I am the reason, I will be

Taking the charge I have no

Secret lover in my head

who sees me when I wake in bed

whose soft looks fill my mind

as I gently drift back into time

How does she know

my longing is real

how does she find me

with her spells

The image of curves I never touch

like an ember burns in my third eye

Her darkened naked statue shape

as she deftly moves with me inside

Secret wishes from far away

fantasies of an unknown day

that may never come to pass

of her perfect words

of her lovely ass

Winged heart don’t fail me now

higher into the clouds

Celestial navigation computer on

Listen to my deep purr

and set course for the beloved

Let us celebrate the road we did not take

it too was a good story

Honor the lovers you did not love

believe in the profession you did not learn

play the music you never heard

revel in how vast life is

The countless people you could be now

How deep and rich the flavors are

in foreign eateries our feet know not

How wonderful the flowers are

in gardens we’ve never seen

Remember the people you have forgotten

how they adored you or hated you

This passion of the past

that only dreams on

in living memory

Romance romance

are you trying to get in my pants?

Would we ever get the chance

even if we were alone

Could we be lovers like in France

after this passing glance

Would you let me have your number

could I see you at home

Perchance perchance

It’s all just happenstance

When we look into each other’s eyes

and fall down the rabbit hole

Could we be dirty like in Spain

go to church and act profane

See each other naked

underneath a sky of coal

Let’s just dance

Do you fall into a trance

Can we tango through the plants

near our swank suburban home

Could we be hot like in Tahiti

will your family get to meet me

If we climb into the coconut trees

near the beaches sandy shoals

Purple is the color of reality

we are a big conglomerate

Rainbows get their color from park place

without a big dream

what else is there?

Presence is all it needs

time will bring us back

back to reality

We are out to lunch

on this one…

Still she’s a super hottie

this reality of ours

All gussied up

for the floodlights

Interned in dreamland

made of descriptive adjectives

Beauty is no yardstick

of your sleepless behavior

the sweet curves of your body

Make sense out of this life

with your curvaceous shake

Blend blend

the colors of your dressless

body entire

Nail to lips to eyeballs

endlessly flowing pelt

to miraculous personality

Soothing voice

and wit

Shake that intellect

make me quake

that I am in your presence

making me daze

this forest floor

swirling with ferns

While we mate in the stream

lost is the sun in the trees

we are whistling

sleepless in our dream

Feed me granadas and wine

rye bread with tomato

goat cheeses and papaya

This abundance is untouchable

your soft smiling mouth

is flashing as you chew

grab the trees

Pull their blossoms

inhale deeply

You were made to be here

this now here

Blink and realize the inside

all your tubes and tissues

sloshing with liquids

Pull on the air

with your lungs

Touch the fingers to the thumb

what are these ripples

That pass through us all?

ascension is made manifest

Love those around you without restraint

become a source of listening and receiving

be the place where all are accepted

Where all are allowed to belong

in unity

Be unified and together

with the rest of the universe

of this earth

We are like houseguests

who have no knowledge

when we will leave

I pray to the sweet goddess of

music

The bringer of endless rhythm

into my life

I am your instrument

play me awake

play the song of life through me

Let me become the sweet sound

of the music of life

Your endless tune

of time and love

past and now

Fall deeply into the mandala

the pattern of life you are always within

in all the curves

Find your voice

already inscribed in marble

traces

In its reflective patterns

witness the pre-ordained

pasts and futures

Growing out of

the lotus of many now’s

how I fear you

That I will do more than

just dance around you

That I will let you possess me

allow you dominion of my heart

That your destruction would flow through me

become me

How I wish I knew

where to keep you

without suffocating

or silencing you

How I wish I knew

when to embrace you

and how to do so

how I am hungry to see your face

to touch your soft hair

and let my body melt

Oh your divinity

and the lullaby of your tambour

which hypnotizes this cherry heart

Make that purse

with your pretty lips

remind me this is the part

where we are still young

and we all die

Every heart plays its song

and everyone is living music

We will shatter ourselves

on the glass of the ground

From our skyscraper heights

when it is time

I have lost everything before

it is just the way of life

That we are all given everything

and have to give it back

The goddess trifecta

is shaking ass in front of me

My drum is a spaceship

headed for the stars

The heavy jangle

of belly dance costumes

and small hand percussion

The waves hitting heavy

to wash the beach away

sloshing spray in purple lazer light

I am only a note

in this harmony

A bouncing ball of light

jumping across the lyrics
