IBEEVIce Breaking Emergency Evacuation Vessel

As a result of JFD’s ground breakingtechnology in the development of breathingsystems, we have provided BAS [BreathingAir Systems] and CAS [Combustion AirSystems] for the IBEEV which is designedto carry out the emergency evacuation ofpersonnel from offshore locations.

The BAS equipment consists of personalCO2 scrubber sets, oxygen generatingcandle equipment and an oxygen deliverycylinder. The CAS equipment feedscombustion air to the vessel’s dieselgenerating sets using a novel EngineDemand Valve [EDV] based on Divex’sUltraFlow divers demand valve.

The benchmark for JFD systems is that they can sustain the harshest ofenvironments – and they don’t come muchharsher than the North Sea. JFD systemsare built to last, and this is borne out by thefact that a significant number of thesystems in service worldwide have beendesigned and built by JFD.

Current projects consist of 12, 18 and 24-man saturation systems that includecomputer-based control systems and a huge expansion in ergonomicallydesigned diver habitats.

NSRSTUP NATO Submarine Rescue System – Transfer Under Pressure

JFD continues to provide a diverse range ofChamber, Hyperbaric & Life Supportproducts and systems to meet thechallenges of the diving industry. Theseinclude advanced diving products such asthe Ultralite 2 BIBS Mask, Hyfex HyperbaricFire Extinguisher and Analox range of GasMonitoring equipment.

Our world-class design expertise andengineering facilities ensure JFD chambersand diving systems are manufactured tointernational or nationally recognisedstandards including PD5500, ASME PVHO, and TUV.

JFD has delivered world-class divingtechnology to form part of a rescue systemknown as the NSRS, capable of rapid worlddeployment in the event of a submarineaccident. Our TUP System allows for thetransfer of up to 72 rescuees in two-doublelock chambers and one transfer lock.

Our tough, high tech, air transportablesaturation system utilises advancedelectronic remote operation and monitoringsystems for the first time. Designed,manufactured and tested under LloydsRegister survey, it is classified forunrestricted operation worldwide.

The Divex Stealth CDLSE mixed gas ClosedCircuit rebreather is the most advancedmilitary underwater life support system inthe world. A compact, electronicallycontrolled mixed gas rebreather, it is capableof being used in multi-mission divingoperations ranging from the clearance of seamines to special operations. The low acousticand non-magnetic design surpasses allrelated NATO standards.

The CDLSE incorporates a secondarycontingency breathing system for emergencyuse and is capable of operating usingdifferent gases. For deep diving operationsit can be linked to a surface safety supportsystem that provides additional emergencygas and the ability to monitor the diver’s lifesupport system.
