INSTRUCTIONS Submitting an Assignment
Submitting an assignment for students is very similar to adding an attachment to an
email. To start go to the home page for the course where the assignment is located. In
this example, the assignment is located in Content area.
From the course’s home page, click on Content in the sidebar on the left. Once on
the Content Page scroll down until you find the Assignment you would like to
work on and click on it.
In the first box, there will be Assignment Information where you can find the name of
the assignment, instructions, due dates and possible points.

The second box is Assignment
Materials. This is where you will
complete the actual assignment.
There are two options for submitting
your work. The assignment can be
typed directly into the text
editing box or attached as a file.
To attach a file, click the Browse for Local File button. A File Upload box will appear.
Find the file you would like to attach and select it. Then click the Open button.
You should now have your file listed
next to File Name. If this is the
correct document, click Attach
File, if not then click Do not attach
and find the correct file.

You should now see your selected file in the Attached files row under File Name. If
you would like to give the link a name, do so in the Link Title box. If you would like to
remove the file, click on Do not attach. If you need to attach another file, click the
Browse for Local File and go through the above steps again.
You may also leave any other
comments in the Comments
box.
When you are finished, scroll down to the third box Submit. Click Submit to finish and
send your assignment in for grading, click Save as Draft to save changes and continue
working later, or click Cancel to quit without saving changes.
