1 – Hot water supply:- water heating (50% of yearly usage)- insulation of pipes & geyser

2 – Energy usage of building envelope:- R & U values contained in SANS 204 for 6 climatic zones

3 – Design Assumptions:- longer axis should be East to West- roof overhang for sun shading- floor insulation- R values for the walls- fenestration 15% (above calculations to comply SANS 204)- fenestration to comply with SANS 613- Roof assembly
