Bus Operator Wages (cont.)

Full-Time EmployeeAn employee who is regularly scheduled to work 35-hours or more per week – about 80 % of bus operator jobs will be full time

Incentive Program!!!PRTC is offering the following incentives. First Transit will pass all incentives earned (less any liquidated damages) to employees at the supervisor level and below.

Smooth Transition Evaluation of performance from contract award through first 3 months

 Up to $50,000

Farebox Revenue Sharing Farebox revenue received exceeds farebox revenue budget

 25% of excess

Operator Turnover Turnover rate of 20% or less $100,000 to $200,000

Service Quality Improvements Improvement in passenger “excellent” responses to overall service quality survey question for both OmniRide and OmniLink

- $5,000 for 5-10% improvement

- $10,000 for 10 – 20%

- $25,000 for 20+%

Mean Distance Between Failures Increases in distance between vehicle breakdowns for each vehicle type (heavy duty and medium duty)

 - $5,000 for 5-10% increase

- $10,000 for 10 – 20%

- $25,000 for 20+%

Complaints Decrease in complaint rate for both Ride and Link

- $5,000 for 5-10% reduction

- $10,000 for 10 – 20%

- $25,000 for 20+%

Accidents Decrease in accident rate - $5,000 for 5-10% reduction

- $10,000 for 10 – 20%

- $25,000 for 20+%

Improved Performance LDs reimbursed if current 1/4 is lower than the previous.Year-end reimbursement of up to 50% of remaining withheld LDs
