President’s Welcome Message: Thank you for welcoming me into your proud family!

I am a product of two highly accomplished educators, my parents both served as faculty over 90 years combined. I can appreciate a situation like Yuin, because it allows all of us to help in a way of serving, giving and watching the success from the grass roots level. Yuin is at a rebirth; we all feel a part of something bigger than all of us combined, and, together, I feel we will make this University something special!

I am impressed with the Yuin faculty. In the short amount of time I have been around them, it is clear to me they epitomize what a great faculty at a contemporary Christian college should represent. Undoubtedly, Yuin’s faculties are knowledgeable and committed to being the best in their academic areas — which means our students learn from the best.

We at YU are striving towards the creation of real and sustainable “Value” for our graduates! We know that education must keep pace with this emerging world. We at YU are training learners of all ages to have a safe and secure future that is financially viable. What this means for us in the education industry is a paradigm shift to create education in a way never seen before, which is beyond the normal teaching, textbooks, and homework. As a byproduct of the emerging digital revolution, jobs are no longer stable, locations aren’t permanent, and workers are moving in and out of the workforce, and, it appears that temporary employees are the way companies will operate in the future. It is no longer about students listening to learn a subject but learning to adapt to their skill sets as needed. We no longer need to teach how to use technology, but how to work in conjunction with technological entities such as the digital corporation in which man and online-based machine/systems work hand in hand. By adhering to the latest educational standards, we at YU ensure that the teaching experience is similar to the working experience by creating a homogenous environment for both, through the use of technologies and tools that are endemic to the future of the larger societal ecosystem. YU’s professors are academicians with ample practical and applied experience. They are capable of leveraging our unique industry relationships enabling an Individualized effective education environment which is second to none.

Please join us to celebrate this rebirth, as we have plans to install new ideas, new plans and new dreams from the existing walls that we occupy. Yuin will become a staunch trademark of compliance and growth as we rebuild, a place where students can be proud of their Alma Mater!

11

ADMISSIONS PHILOSOPHY

Admission decisions are based upon both objective and subjective criteria. An applicant’s previous academic record is an important predictor of his or her ability to succeed at the University. Previous work experience in the selected field of study may also be taken into consideration. Personal and/or professional letters of recommendation are included in the process. Finally, a personal interview with a university administrator is required of all resident applicants.

NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY

The University welcomes all adult learners and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, disability, gender or in any other way in its policies, practices, or procedures involving applicants, learners, faculty, staff and the public. Please note, however, that the University reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone the University believes does not meet its academic standards.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

• Applications for admission to the University may be submitted at any time. However, the actual startof classes must coincide with the start of each semester. The admission adviser will assist the studentin developing a schedule of classes each year.

• The prospective student wishing to apply for classes should contact the Admissions Office for anapplication and for information concerning enrollment. The prospective student must request thatofficial transcripts be sent from all previous colleges attended. These transcripts must be official, mustbe sent to the Admissions Office at the University. Each applicant is advised that many institutionsrequire several weeks to process a request to issue a transcript. The University understands that forsome international applicants, unofficial transcripts are difficult to obtain. If unofficial transcripts areunavailable, notarized copies are acceptable.

• After the application materials have been completed and submitted, and transcripts received by theUniversity, residents’ applicants should schedule an interview with the Dean of the School accordingto the School to which he or she is applying. Following the interview, the Evaluation Committee willreceive the results of the interview and all admission materials to determine the admissibility of theapplicant.

• If the applicant is accepted for admission, an acceptance letter will be sent to the applicant with anenrollment date. The student may enroll on that date or after that date and begin study at theUniversity. If the applicant is not accepted the Admissions Office will send a letter to the applicantinforming him or her of the decision, stating why the qualifications are deficient. A remedial plan isusually offered to encourage the student to continue in his or her quest for knowledge.

Important Notice about Tuition payment

We are writing to kindly inform you about some points of the tuition payment for each

semester or quarter. The student must pay tuition in registration dates, which mentioned in the

academic calendar, or if the student goes through the installment plan, they need to pay at

dates specified in the form. If the student isn’t going to pay on time, he/ she has to pay the late

fee. It’s essential to pay attention that the late fee will be added to the amount you need to pay

automatically.

The late fee will be $49.00 (if your delay is more than 3 days) and $79.00 (if your suspension is

more than 5 days).

Eventually, if your delay is over ten days, your commitment won’t be acceptable or reliable

until you meet with responsible staff. But, if the delay becomes more than one month, the

university automatically terminates the student’s status.

Besides, the students are responsible for keeping their classes’ record. If the students repeat

the course during the program, the university will accept 2/3 of that class’s tuition as a credit.

The rest of the tuition (1/3) must be paid by the student (If Yuin University Committee accepts

to give credit to the student).

It’s noteworthy that when the student goes through an installment plan needs to pay 1/3 of

Semester/ Quarter tuition in the first payment. Also, if the student’s total installments are

more than 3, 10% will add to the payments and the installments must be finished at the end of

each semester/ quarter. The student must pay attention that if the students not able to complete

their payment, the university doesn’t provide any grades for the classes. Moreover, the

university doesn’t offer any services, like CPT/OPT or Transferring, etc. to the student with

outstanding balance & keep the right to cancelling them.

The student in the dissertation level must be aware that if they can’t complete their

dissertation in the typical length of their I-20, they will need to register & pay tuition. The

payments are (include Dissertation Committee Fee; one-time payment) for each extra semester

or quarter, they need to complete for graduation (If academic status extension approves).

Important Notice about Admission/ Registration

We are writing to kindly give some crucial and essential information about Students’

Admission and Registration; however you can find all the information you need in the

Yuin University Website (www.yuin.edu).

The international student, which holds F1 Status, will need to be a full-time student.

The requirement for keeping full-time status is registration for requested classes,

which will mention in the following and have a commitment to attending the classes as

mentioned in the university policy and SEVIS, TRACS regulations.

Minimum classes for bachelor level are 12 units per semester and 8 units for master

and Ph.D. level per semester/ Quarter. But it’s noteworthy that the students need to pay

attention that they must finish the program in the duration mentioned in their

academic status documents (any extension need to have extremely justified and

acceptable reasons and it is an exception).

The International Students who have Green Card, U.S. Citizens, and the students who

register in our corresponding classes, will have a similar timeline of international

students who keep F1 Status. The students who enroll in Corresponding/ Online

classes will be able to finish the requested program sooner than standard program

length by more classes’ registration. About the students who take courses on campus

will be done with their programs faster if the university is can offer more courses.

27

Important Notice about Transferring

For credit to be transferred into a Yuin University program, it must be a credit that was not counted

towards a completed degree program or completed at another school concurrently with Yuin University

enrollment. Requests for transfer credit are normally submitted during the admissions process.

Additional requests must be filed with the Admissions Office prior to the semester in which the

equivalent Yuin University course is offered.

Credits earned at other institutions may be considered for transfer credit with the following

stipulations:

- Official copies of transcripts must be forwarded to Administration for evaluation

- Only those courses which are substantially comparable to Yuin courses with "C" (2.0

on a 4.0 scale) or higher grade will be accepted

- Up to a maximum of 75% of the total program credits of Undergraduate and 20% of

the total program credits of Graduate may be transferred

It’s noteworthy that Yuin University does not accept hours or credit through challenge examinations,

achievement tests, or experiential learning.

The student has a right to transfer out or transfer to other programs whenever they want, except

- The student has a Prior commitment with the school, like Any Signed Forms, CPT/ OPT,

Extension…

- The student has an outstanding balance with the university

- The student is in his/ her last semester

- The student asks for transfer out immediately after the semester/ quarter break

In those exceptions, if the student request for transfer, the university will transfer out the student with

terminated status.

Important Notice about Attendance

The students must attend all of their classes, as mentioned in Yuin University rules,

regulations, and SEVIS, TRACS policy. Suppose the students have two consecutive absence or

more than two non-consecutive absences (For 6, 8 & 10 Weeks Courses) and also three

consecutive absences or more than three non-consecutive absences (For 16 Weeks Courses) in

one class. In that case, the course will be dropped [Unless the student provides the university

reasonable and documented proof for absent(s)]. If the units are less than required for

international students in one semester/ quarter, they will be out of status.

The students who register in Online or Intensive (Corresponding) class/ course need to

respond to their instructor email or take apart with phone, video chat, Google Classroom and

provide the requested materials every week. Otherwise, it means Tardy for the student (if

submit late, i.e. no later than one week). Every two Tardy will be equal to one absent. Suppose

the student provides the materials later than one week or a week after instructor’s set date. In

that case, the assignment’s week will count as an absence, and assignment isn’t acceptable.

In addition, the students must be aware of this point that the student must be attending the

classes on time. If the students get the classes late (more than 15 Min.), they need to wait up to

break to be able to join the classes (if it’s available), and the session will be tardy for them

after talking with the instructor at the same day. If the student has Two Tardy, it will be equal

to one absent.

It’s noteworthy that First, Midterm and Final Sessions are MANDATORY for students to

attend; otherwise, they won’t be able to pass the course.

We hope by reminding the rules and policy, we can help the students to have a safe and

memorable academic journey at Yuin University and reach their goals.

Best,

Yuin University
