The senior midfielder played a hand in all four goals, scoring a pair of tallies and adding two assists. Seamon put the Wildcats on the board just 12:01 into the game and capped off the nights scoring 14:57 into the second half. Watson-Siriboe helped Connecticut grab its fourth and fifth shutouts of the season, both defensively and offensively. On the weekend, Watson-Siriboe and the Huskies held its opposition to just six shots on goal. The senior defender scored the lone goal in UConn’s win over then-No. 18/22 St. John’s and held the Red Storm to three shots on goal on Sept. 25. Two- days later, the Huskies shut down the Syracuse offense, also holding them to three shots on goal. Wilber had a strong week in net for the Hoyas posting two home shutouts. The redshirt- sophomore earned a 1-0 win over Villanova on Sept. 25 and a 2-0 victory over Rutgers two-days later. Against a barrage of shots by Villanova, Wilbur made seven saves and then added two more against Rutgers. Sebele notched four points on the weekend in West Virginia’s wins over then-No. 3/5 USF and DePaul. The freshman forward scored the lone tally in overtime in the Mountaineers’ upset of USF on Sept. 25. Only two-days later, he had an impact in helping WVU to a 2-1 overtime win against DePaul. He played a factor in both goals, earning assists on each tally. Sebele served a corner kick into the goal box to grab the assist, while on the game-winning goal he earned the second helper. Senior Meagan Dooley took home her second straight BIG EAST Volleyball Player of the Week award. Dooley led the Panthers to back-to-back shutouts in home victories over Marquette and Syracuse. The senior posted double-digit kills in both affairs, tallying 14 against the Golden Eagles and 15 versus the Orange. Dooley was near per-fect over the weekend, committing only three errors on 46 chances while hitting .565 over six sets to lead the BIG EAST in hitting percentage this week. She also led the con-ference with a 4.83 kills-per-set mark and 5.92 points per set. Dooley had 10 blocks and is now three rejections away from moving into third on the all-time career blocks list at Pittsburgh.

Connecticut outside hitter Mattison Quayle was named Freshman of the Week after accounting for more than 25 percent of the Huskies kill offense this weekend. The 6-1 Quayle played big for the Huskies’ all weekend, including a conference shutout victory over DePaul. Quayle set a match-high kill total against the Blue Demons with 15 kills. In a 3-1 loss to Notre Dame, Quayle assisted on seven blocks and added eight kills and four digs. She totaled 10 blocks and added a service ace, assist and 11 digs over seven sets this weekend. The freshman led Connecticut with 3.29 kills and 1.43 blocks per set.

TELEVISION GAMES – BIG EAST women’s soccer teams have six games set for national television broadcasts, continuing with Sunday’s ESPNU broadcast of Notre Dame at West Virginia. In addition, nine games are slated to be televised on regional sports networks meaning at least 15 games will be on the airwaves this season. The final three contests of the BIG EAST women’s soccer championship will be televised by CBS College Sports. The semifinals are set for Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. while the title game is set for noon on Nov. 8.

Offensive Player of the WeekLauren Fowlkes, Notre Dame, Jr., F

Fowlkes earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors after she totaled four points

(scoring two goals) in a 2-0-0 week for the Irish. Fowlkes scored the game-tying goal with 12:46 left in a 2-1 win at Cincinnati on Sept. 25. The junior also posted the gamewinner in the 50th minute of a 1-0 victory over Louisville on Sept. 27. On the year, Fowlkes is tied for the team lead with a career-high five goals and has scored in three of the last four matches. This is her first BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Defensive Player of the WeekJessica Schuveiller, Notre Dame, So., D

Schuveiller earns BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week accolades following a 2-0-0 week that

included a shutout for the Irish. The sophomore also helped Notre Dame limit its opponents to 10 shots and just three shots on goal in the two wins. In a 2-1 win at Cincinnati on Sept. 25, Schuveiller also scored an unassisted gamewinner with 8:08 left in regulation. This is her first BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Goalkeeper of the WeekKristin Russell, St. John’s, So., GK

Russell earns BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors following a 1-0-1 week for the Red Storm. The sophomore totaled 18 saves over

205 minutes of play last week, including a shutout. In a 1-0 overtime win against then-No. 25/16 Connecticut on Sept. 24, Russell made seven saves and earned her fifth shutout of the season. It was just the third St. John’s win against UConn in 18 all-time meetings. In a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Providence on Sept. 27, the sophomore made 11 saves. This is her second BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season, she also earned the honor on Aug. 31, 2009.

Rookie of the WeekHeidi Sabatura, Villanova, Fr., F

Sabatura earns BIG EAST Rookie of the Week honors for the third time this season having previously won the award on Aug. 24 and Sept.

7. Last week she helped the Wildcats to a 1-0-1 record while totaling five points. In a 3-1 win over Seton Hall on Sept. 24, the freshman scored two goals. In a 1-1 tie at then-No. 17/20 Rutgers on Sept. 27, Sabatura assisted on Villanova’s only goal. She has totaled 16 points on the season and ranks fourth in the league in scoring.

Bustanoby made a career-high 19 saves in No. 16 Louisville’s 3-2 double overtime loss at No. 5 Connecticut on Sept. 26. Despite playing with a defense that was a player down for most of the two extra frames due to cards, the senior stopped all nine of Loren Sherer’s shots, holding the nation’s No. 2 scorer scoreless for just the second time all season. The 19-save performance is a high among BIG EAST goalies this season.

Conrad played an integral part in No. 6 Syracuse’s 2-1 win over No. 19 Providence on Sept. 26, assisting on both goals. The following day she recorded her fi rst hat trick of the season, boosting the Orange in their 6-0 win over Columbia. Conrad also earned an assist against the Lions, tallying a season-high nine points in one week.

With its 2-1 victory over No. 19 Providence, No. 6 Syracuse earned its fi fth win over a ranked opponent this season.
