A Bug Story

Do you always forget the “crazy” dreams you had within minutes of waking up? Write them down and illustrate the scenes of your dreams with Pixton comics. Consider grouping together several dreams or writing a full story about one dream to create an entire dream-based graphic novel.

Environmentalist

Collect leaves, flowers, acorns, and pine cones from your street or neighborhood. Then ask an adult, use a field guide from the library, or search online at https://plants.usda.gov/ to identify each plant species and its characteristics. Illustrate your plants and their characteristics on Pixton comics so you remember the plant names and their traits in the future.

Family History

Talk to your grandparents, parents, or other relatives about your family history. Ask if they immigrated from another country and learn more about their experiences--good and bad. Plan a detailed daily/hourly itinerary to get out and enjoy your local community. Print your illustrated Pixton comic itinerary to show your staycation to your parents! After your staycation, create a comic to show what you learned while visiting your local attractions.
