“We exist to CLOSE THE GAP between Heaven and Earth in Central Arkansas.” June 2016 Summer Greetings From Pastor Tim Last week, I picked up Brady from school for the last time this year. For dinner, our family went out for pizza and then we came home, watched a movie and spent the night in a tent that we set up in our living room since the weather wasn't cooperating outside. Needless to say, things are getting weird at the Britton house and that's because of one thing: SUMMER BREAK IS HERE! For those of us with kids in school, this transition to summer is a major game changer for fam- ily schedules and routines. Even if you don't have kids in the home, there is a noticeable shift in pace as the world transitions to "summer mode." Chances are, you might be reading this at the beginning of June while eating leftover hot dogs and hamburgers from your Memorial Day cookout. Summer is here and that is awesome! Honestly, you and your family deserve a break. Life is busy and loud and the volume and pace can quickly crowd out family time. This summer, you should try and slow down, drink sweet tea or lemonade, go on vacation, go fishing, go swimming, play golf, catch a movie, work on your tan, have a picnic or campout, work in the garden, spend time with friends, and savor every last second of your summer. As you consider what you are going to take a break from, can I just challenge you not to take a break, or shift into cruise control, in your relationship with Christ and your participation in His church? I have never fully understood why church attendance and giving take a dip in the Summer, but it’s undeniable that they do. Last year, God did something incredible in our church and we actually grew. During our weekend services and through VBS, we con- nected with new families who are now active members of our church family. I am praying that you will have a restful summer. I hope you get a chance to enjoy a vacation and ex- plore "The Natural State," but my greatest desire for you is that this would be a season when you take Jesus up on his offer in Matthew 11:28 when He said, "“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We are looking forward to an exciting summer of ministry and activities. Let’s keep our priori- ties aligned, our eyes fixed on Him and follow as He leads us by His Spirit.

Summer Greetings From Pastor Tim

Last week, I picked up Brady from school for the last time this year. For dinner, our family went out for pizza and then we came home, watched a movie and spent the night in a tent that we set up in our living room since the weather

wasn't cooperating outside. Needless to say, things are getting weird at the Britton house and that's because of one thing: SUMMER BREAK IS HERE!

For those of us with kids in school, this transition to summer is a major game changer for fam-ily schedules and routines.

During our weekend services and through VBS, we con-nected with new families who are now active members of our church family. I am praying that you will have a restful summer. I hope you get a chance to enjoy a vacation and ex-plore "The Natural State," but my greatest desire for you is that this would be a season when you take Jesus up on his offer in Matthew 11:28 when He said, "“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

We are looking forward to an exciting summer of ministry and activities. Let’s keep our priori-ties aligned, our eyes fixed on Him and follow as He leads us by His Spirit.

Have you ever dreamed of living a faith fueled life of confidence and courage, boldness and bravery? Do you know what it means to walk in a faith that is not timid or afraid but trusts in Him with a deep sense of assurance? Have you ever really thought about what bravery is and how you live a

life others would describe as brave? Join us on Father’s Day and the following week for a 2-week look at what BRAVE is and what BRAVE does.

Pews for Sale

We still have some pews from the old sanctuary available for $100 a piece. If you would like to purchase a pew, please take the time to go over to the old sanctuary and tag the one you want. We will begin selling the rest to outside companies/churches after June 1st, so don’t delay!
