Father’s DayFather’s Day is celebrated on the
First Sunday in June. Children congratulate their dads.

St. John’s Day
St. John’s Day is celebrated in June 24th. Young people gather grasses with which they predicte their future. Girls also wear wreaths and later set them afloat on rivers and lakes to find out if they would marry or not in the following year. Unmarried young men and women sing, dance and jump over the remains of the bonfire until daybreak.
Lithuania’s National Day
Lithuania’s National Day is celebrated in July 6th. Mindaugas was our first and the only king and July 6th is his coronation day.
Assumption Assumption Day is celebrated in
August 15th. It is Blessed Virgin Mary` of the Assumption holiday. Churches bless the new harvest crop, grasslands, flower bouquets.
PalangaPalanga is our health-resort. It is
near the Baltic sea.
