Term 1: January – March 2021 Welcome TasRec Calendar Summer North West NW Bookings Welcome to the new look, new format TasRec calendar for first Term, Summer 2021. TasRec is taking a new approach in delivering its program, which includes 3 months of “first term” activities, reflective of the summer season. A term will start with a week of activity taster days, followed by a 10 week program. To complete the term we will celebrate our achievements with a variety of activities to share and showcase our experiences over the term, and to be acknowledged and to celebrate with the RFT community. Our celebration week will be followed by a break week, and then the programs will return for term 2. Included in the 10 week term are 4 or 5 week blocks of different activities designed to go together as a complete recreational offering. TasRec invites you to book in to one of these programs as a whole, however you are also welcome to book into individual sessions. The process will remain the same, everyone can continue to use our 1800TASREC (1800827732) phone booking line, or email: [email protected] that states your name, activity and date you would like to attend. We look forward to receiving your interest to attend taster days, and the programs that follow. TasRec’s weekly nature outing, TasTracks, returns in 2021 with a fantastic selection of walks that progress through from the local and easy, to the further away and a little more challenging. On each walk we take along maps and compasses, tree species guides, and binoculars to help our learning and immersion in the world around us. For all walks we meet at ulverstone RFT on Mondays at 10am, and return at 1pm. Come ‘n’ try session leaving from Ulverstone RFT, 10am – 1pm on the 04/01. End of Term Celebration Day

Previously Gourmet Student with a new name and format! Food for thought’s program offers two 5 week blocks, that will each begin with group planning, some basic cooking skills and budget meals, a farm visit in the first program. To complete the weeks, an exploration into international meal creation. Recipe planning is up to each group as they go along, according to taste.

For our end of term celebration Food for thought groups come together to create easy snack food, and cater for our end of term event. Friday the 26/03, 10am – 12pm.

Food for Thought Life SkillsTasRec’s newest recreation venture! The Life Skills programs aim to facilitate practical sessions into learning opportunities for general skills that can help us all as we navigate this busy world we are in.

Thursdays from 1pm – 3:30pm.

Meet at RFT, Lugana Crescent, Ulverstone.

Formerly Up and About.

RFT continues its amazing weekly exercise program. Up and About now has a new name, Just Move, but is just as wonderful, and would love to see you in 2021!

Weekly session at Splash Devonport.
