It belongs to the UHP (ultra high performance) cate-
gory, the top class for passenger car tyres. The sporty
Nokian zLine excels under extreme conditions and is
not afraid of changing road conditions or large temper-

Nokian i3 is designed especially for smaller cars and
medium-sized family cars. Three longitudinal main
grooves prevent aquaplaning and make the tyre quiet
and stable even at high speeds. The inside-outside

Nokian Tyres is also a bold leader in environ-
mental friendliness. In 2005, we were the first
tyre manufacturer in the world to introduce
purified, low-aromatic oils to tyre manufactur-
ing. More recently, we have focused strongly
on reducing the rolling resistance of our tyres.
When a tyre rolls on a road surface, it creates friction known
as rolling resistance. The higher the rolling resistance, the
greater the fuel consumption. The right choice of tyres will
lower fuel consumption and as a result, reduce carbon diox-
ide emissions.
You can have an impact on your tyre tracks by making sure
your tyres are in good condition, that the tyre pressure is
correct, and by driving smartly, i.e. defensively, economically
and courteously.

Information fieldThe location and pressure indicators on the sidewall information area improve safety. The information area allows for recording the correct inflation pressure and installation location during tyre change.
Aquaplaning indicatorWhen the tyre has only four milli-metres of tread depth remaining, the tread’s drop symbol will disappear, reminding the driver of the increased risk of aquaplaning.

Low rolling resistanceThe more easily a tyre rolls, the less fuel it consumes and the fewer C02 emissions it generates. A 40% difference in rolling resistance transforms into an approxima-tely 6% difference in fuel consumption, which is immediately felt in your purse.

for demanding professional use. Nokian cLine tyre
comes with two different tread models: The Cargo

changing weather and road conditions.
With these few tips, you can keep your
tyres in top shape so that they can ensure
a safe drive for you.

Do tyres need to be run in ?We recommend tyres to be run in for 500 km after
their mounting. Therefore, avoid strong accele-
ration, breaking and turning at first. During the
running-in, the tyre grease that is used between
the tyre and the rim in the mounting dries, which
makes the tyre remain tightly in place in relation
to the rim. Remember to after-tighten the nuts/
bolts after driving ca. 200 km.

How long will the tyres last?The safe service life for tyres is six (6) years. The
maximum life is ten (10) years. The safe minimum
tread depth for winter tyres is 4 mm. We do not
recommend winter tyres (M+S) to be used under
summer conditions. Between seasons, the tyres
must be stored in a cool, dark and dry space. The
tyres must not touch solvent substances such as oil,
gasoline or lubricants.

Should tyres be rotated from the front to back?Drive tyres wear more quickly than free-rolling
tyres. We recommend tyres to be rotated from the
front axle to the rear axle ca. every 8,000 km. This
way, the tyre wear is evened out and the total
driving distance of the tyres is maximised. The
rotation direction that is marked on the tyre must
be followed.

What are the recommended inflation pressures?Nokian Tyres has test driven the recommended
inflation pressures for winter tyres (M+S) for the
most common car makes. The recommended
pressures may exceed the car manufacturer re-
commendations, as the winter tyre has a different
structure. If there is no recommended inflation
pressure for winter tyres, we recommend winter
tyres to be inflated 0.2 bar (20 kpa) higher than
the summer recommendation. The pressure levels
must be inspected by using a calibrated gauge
with cold tyres every three (3) weeks.
What if the tyre is damaged?If a tyre is damaged, avoid driving on an under-
inflated tyre. Take the tyre to a tyre dealer for asses-
sment and repair.

The EU tyre label will help consumers
compare tyres in terms of fuel economy,
wet grip, and external rolling noise.
The EU tyre label applies to tyres for passenger cars, 4x4s,
vans, trucks, and buses that are manufactured after 1
July 2012 and that are approved for road use. The label
does not apply to studded tyres.
Information on the EU tyre label and its classifications is
available from tyre retailers, the Nokian Tyres website,
and the tyre label itself. The classification information
and further information related to safety are available
by scanning the QR code on the label with a smartphone.
The selection of a tyre is a sum of many components.When selecting a tyre, always choose one that matches
your usage in the best possible way. In addition to the
three properties in the EU tyre labels, there are a number
of factors related to safety, performance and the environ-
ment that tyre developers take into account. Although
the new labels make it easier to compare tyre models,
you should also support your decision by consulting the
professional tyre retailers, independent magazine tests,
and tyre manufacturers.
