The program’s flexible schedule is sure to provide a smooth and productive summer for all families.

Join us for the full eight weeks or pick and choose the dates that work for you. We pride ourselves on tailoring a program that works best for your family. Our qualified teachers, experienced coaches and decorated artists go to great lengths to help enhance your child’s summer. The affordable prices along with skilled staff and beautiful private campus provides the perfect combination for the most exciting summer program Long Beach has to offer.

About Us!

Before you enroll in another fantastic summer with us, we wanted to share some upcoming campus changes that will be transpiring within the next couple months and throughout the summer. Westerly is pleased to announce that we are in the midst of a campus transformation geared toward a more functional, innovative, environmentally conscious, and aesthetically pleasing infrastructure.

Construction is tentatively set to begin this April (2015) and will continue throughout our summer.

Just as we will continue operating our exceptional program during the school year, we intend the same during Summer with Westerly. Temporary buildings will be brought in to supplement the necessary classroom space during our campus revitalization. Our Arts village, athletic field, blacktop and string of buildings along the east side of campus will all remain uninterrupted during this process and will continue as functional spaces for both our academic and summer programs. Feel free to contact us with questions about this exciting renovation. We’re looking forward to another great summer.

Before you Enroll...

Westerly has launched a campus “greening initiative”. In order to develop students who exhibit environmentally conscious behavior, we are developing plans to lead by example. Our curriculum, infrastructure, dining services and the physical operations within the school are all being reimagined toward a more sustainable tomorrow. Within this context, we are gearing up to move into a new online system. Registration and communication will be all done online. We will be producing limited print copy brochures and are encouraging families to register online or stop into our office and enroll from here! We value your feedback during this transitional process and appreciate your understanding as we move into a more conscious future at Summer with Westerly.

We appreciate your support in these efforts.

Grab your passports and pack your bags! Join us as we travel from country to country learning about different cultures throughout the world. The Beginning Paths program encompasses all subject areas and prepares students for the routines and expectations of kindergarten and first grade. This full morning course engages students through creative play, music and crafts, all designed to ignite your child’s curiosity and intellect through an interactive and thematic environment. Students explore foods, build famous landmarks, dance to music and speak foreign languages. This robust and engaging class is the perfect summer opportunity for pre-k, kinder, and first graders of all levels.

The thematic element remains the same while each class’s curriculum is customized to meet the needs of the grade level. Pre-K will practice basic social skills and classroom routines through structured play as they travel the world. Kindergarten students will go beyond the basic social skills and begin combining their academic focus toward letters, numbers, rhyming, and more. The first grade level focuses on the big jump from kindergarten and works toward an understanding and synthesizing of the social and academic content obtained in earlier years.
