Algebra I A&B Credit Recovery
Required for any student who has completed Algebra I and not earned a full credit. This credit recovery offerings will be taught by a certified math teacher and is scheduled to where students can choose to take the only the semester needed or repeated the entire course as a whole. Courses will emphasize learning multiple representations of linear and nonlinear functions as well as various mathematical concepts necessary for successfully working with rational numbers, expressions, analyzing and solving linear equations & inequalities, data analysis, probability, statistics, and polynomials. Credit Recovery Program Edgenuity
East Central High School has a vast menu of credit recovery courses created within its Edgenuity on line program. Students who are failing or have failed a course need to make an appointment with their East Central counselor to review their graduation plan and obtain an official registration form for ECHS?s Summer Credit Recovery program. A $50 access fee is required for each registered ½ day session and there is tuition/fee assistance for qualifying students. All exams must be taken on campus under the supervision of the Credit Recovery staff. Starting June 10-20 and during school office hours- Credit Recovery Registration Forms can be submitted to the ECHS?s Bookkeeper or MSC office to secure position in the program; Credit Recovery Program?s fees will not be collected until re-verification of course(s) are made and fee amounts verified. Registration period for credit recovery end June 20th. All Edgenuity courses will be required to be completed by 3:15 pm on August 1, 2019; Extensions can be granted for extenuating circumstance, but must be arranged prior to the program?s end date with the Credit Recovery Program Leader, Mrs. Mary Jo Johnson, as well as are subject to additional access fees.
Dance Summer Camp
This camp is geared toward children ages 4 -16 who love to dance! Students will be introduced to various dance forms? team, hip-hop, jazz. The class will emphasize flexibility, stamina, and coordination. Dance patterns, steps, and choreographed routines will be taught. Students will have the opportunity to perform in parades, San Antonio Spurs games, Rampage Games, and Mission baseball games.

East Central Community Soccer Coed Camp
The East Central Community Soccer Camp will provide solid instruction on the fundamental skills of soccer. Specific instruction will focus on individual technique as well as small group tactics. The ECCSC enhances creativity and confidence while encouraging communication and teamwork. The camp is designed for girls and boys of all ages and levels, from beginner to experienced players.
Economics
Economics emphasizes the free enterprise system of the United States. Topics include the theory of supply and demand, price factors of production, income distribution, the organization and function of the Federal Reserve System, and government regulation of the market system. Comparative economic systems are studied.
Film CampLights, camera, action! Students will break into groups and spend the week writing, directing, and editing a short film. Whether you're interested in the technical or creative sides of film making, this fast-paced camp is a unique and fun experience.
Future Stars Boys Basketball Camp
Future Stars camp will be 3 hours of basketball skill work. Emphasis will be placed on improving campers offensive skills and over all court presence. Shooting and dribbling will dominate most of the activities. Each day the kids will have a chance to scrimmage against other campers. The campers and coaches will have fun learning and teaching the game they love.
Fun House
Come learn through having a real world experiences that revolve around learning how to calculate perimeter and area of rectangles as well as perfect ones skills related in adding and multiplying number, decimals and fractions. Fun House participants will design, plan, explore, play and research in order to become expert mathmaticians.
Game On! ? Majors: Kinesiology/Health Science/Exercise
This week will be filled with healthy competition, teamwork, and physical activity. Girls will participate in a variety of activities that revolve around what it means to be positive and give each other a sporting chance.
Government This course is designed to provide an understanding of the functions of federal, state, and local governments. Major focus is placed on the Constitution and its influence on all governmental levels, and the rights and responsibilities of American citizenship.

The East Central Hornets football staff will conduct the annual Freshman Camp. Campers will have fun learning the fundamentals of football. They will learn the same techniques and skills that the East Central Hornets football players learn. We will promote competition, character development, nutrition, family and fun. Camp will also feature skills competitions. This camp will give the freshman players an introduction into Hornet Football.
Hornet Tennis Academy
The east Central Junior Tennis Camp is day program designed to cover the entire spectrum of tennis development, from detailed instruction to supervised play. Sound strokes, proper movement, good sportsmanship, and competitive play strategies are taught into a logical progression of instruction and drill. Our Tennis Camp focuses on the athletic, emotional , psychological,technical,tactical and social behavioral development of the athlete.
Inventor?s Workshop ? Majors: Engineering/Architecture
Do you like designing and building things? Maybe you enjoy using your hands to come up with new ideas and inventions. Join Girls Inc. for a week of exploring, experimenting, and imagining how to build things from buildings to roller coasters
Jr. Honeybee Camp
Jr. Honeybee is for ages 3-14, it is an opportunity for young dancers to dance with the Honeybees. They are split into 3 groups, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Each group will learn 5 dances, they also play games and there will be arts and crafts for the beginner group. The last day of camp we have a showoff for parents. After the showoff, we give out special awards. Also, each dancer receives a Jr. Honeybee t-shirt and camp cd with all of the music from camp.

Kidnap Prevention Self Defense Camp
This camp encourages self-defense, physical fitness, competitive spirit & self-discipline. Students are instructed in safety awareness, defense against attack, anti-kidnapping techniques, releases from any aggressor, and being able to avoid dangerous situations. A uniform is available, but not mandatory.
Kids Cooking Camp
Campers will experience hands-on cooking with lots of eating and team building. As a camper you will be taught proper cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and food science through making stuffed cookies, bakery style muffins, dessert pizza, calzones, rainbow grilled cheese, rainbow monkey bread and so much more!

Math Bridge
Designed to strengthen a student's math skills in the area of measurement(2-D figures), fractions, decimals, percent, algebraic concepts (multiple representations), coordinate graphing, and probability through the use WICOR strategies such as Cornell note-taking, interactive notebooks, writing and vocabulary activities, and team building projects.
Mighty Hornets Football Camp
The Mighty Hornets Football Camp will be conducted by the East Central Hornets football staff. Campers will have fun learning the fundamentals of football. They will learn the same techniques and skills that the East Central Hornets football players learn. We will promote competition, character development, nutrition, family and fun. Camp will also incl feature skills competitions as well as two hand touch football games that will result in state championship games on the last day of camp.

This 4 day money course will teach you how money really works. Learn how to handle your finances in every situation with confidence and build wealth. We will cover: budgeting, buying a car or home, how to pay with cash, the art of negotiation, what 3 accounts you should have and much more.
Musical Theater Camp

CAMP DESCRIPTIONSScience Explorer 3.2.1 Blast Off! Get ready to embark on an amazing journey through the land of SCIENCE
exploration. Stops to include the galaxy system, eco-systems, and variety of hands-on experiements and activites. Get ready for an exciting ride and the opportunity to go boldy where no one has gone before. Camp may include an offsite extended learning experience.
Softball Coed Camp
Campers will be working on Defensive & Offensive Skills.Defensive skills: Fielders will be divided by age and/or skill level. The defensive session will include: (1) drills to develop proper throwing mechanics, improve arm strength, accuracy and quick transfers, (2) drills to develop proper fielding mechanics, softer hands, footwork, and the ability to throw from all angles, and (3) drills to develop proper footwork around the bag for force plays, tag plays, and double plays.Offensive skills: Hitters will be divided by age and/or skill level. The hitting session will include: (1) an overview of hitting mechanics, (2) drills to develop bat speed and strength, and (3) base running and sliding mechanics.
Special Olym pics Cam p
This camp will be for those who are interested in participating in Special Olympics. For any athlete or player preparing for the Olympics or Special Olympics, the hours of training and free-play spent in addition to regular practice time are perhaps the most important part of becoming an accomplished athlete. Morning stretching to develop flexibility, daily runs to build up stamina, playing in the backyard or informal competition at the local playground are unstructured, personally motivated, activities that help athletes succeed in sports.We will monitor our athlete s activities during the season and get them excited about training on their own. Ask them to report on training they have done at home. Suggest ways to improve their training. We will work to get them to the other sport specific camps in order for them to get their mandatory practices to qualify for area competition for Special Olympics.

The camp will be open to students in grades 7th ? 12th and will be held at Hornet Stadium. Campers will lift weights, run, and do agility drills in preparation for their upcoming fall seasons. Campers will also learn the importance of competition, teamwork, character development, nutrition, and family. The expectation will be that all campers be at the workout on time Monday thru Thursday.

1. Autorizo para que ECISD asuma el privilegio parental en todas las situaciones médicas, dentales y de salud general de EMERGENCIA.
2. Ent iendo que ECISD no acepta responsabilidad por responsabilidad médica y se me cobrará por cualquier gasto médico incurrido.
3. Autorizo al personal de ECISD para tomar fotografías de mi hijo para su uso en la publicidad del programa y/o sit io web. (no se incluirán nombres)
4. Ent iendo que mi hijo como part icipante de SUMMER @ ECISD debe cumplir con el Código de Conducta del Estudiante de ECISD.
5. Soy consciente de que si mi hijo viola el Código de Conducta del Estudiante de ECISD, se me not ificará inmediatamente y la violación puede
ocasionar que mi hijo sea ret irado de SUMMER @ ECISD (sin reembolso cuando corresponda) y puede enfrentar consecuencias adicionales como se
describe en Código de Conducta del Estudiante de ECISD que incluye las reglas y pautas del Departamento de Transporte de East Central ISD.
6. Conozco las Polít icas de uso aceptable de ECISD y acepto cumplir sus disposiciones. En consideración por el privilegio de que mi hijo use el sistema
de comunicaciones electrónicas del Distrito, y en consideración por tener acceso a las redes públicas, por este medio, libero al Distrito, sus
operadores y cualquier inst itución con la que están afiliados de todos y cada uno de los reclamos y daños de cualquier naturaleza que surja del uso o
inhabilidad de mi hijo para usar el sistema, incluyendo, sin limitación, el t ipo de daño ident ificado en la polít ica del Distrito.
7. No permit iré que mi hijo traiga disposit ivos electrónicos, art ículos valiosos o sent imentales u otros art ículos similares que puedan distraerlo del
entorno de aprendizaje. Ent iendo que ECISD no es responsable por art ículos perdidos.
8.No voy a dejar mi niño de Pre-K a quinto grado desatendido en los lugares de levantar o de recoger designadas como las paradas de autobús .
