Autumn is the prettiest of all our seasons; it’s the “cooling off ” season right between the blazing summer and chilling winter. It’s the time of year when all the magic happens,
bright blue skies, beautiful colored leaves and cool nights!
We have some great plans for our residents this month, there is a trip to see the wonderful foliage in the Catskills and a special outing to Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY. Stay busy, stay connected! Sign up for the Team Jeopardee Challenge, Halloween cookie baking, and other special happenings! Please remember to RSVP for all in house events, this is how we determine how many to order for and how to arrange seating.
October is breast cancer awareness month and we are collecting money for the cause fr om October 1st through October 31st. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. 1 in 8 women will face a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime. If you are one of the eight
women who is not forced to confr ont this life-changing diagnosis, chances are someone you care about will be impacted at some point during their lives. If you wish to donate, please drop by the offi ce for a pink ribbon.
Last month’s trivia answer: It was Gail Manning who worked as a soda jerk at the Sugar Bowl in Schenectady as a teenager!
This month’s trivia question: Who among us attended the original Woodstock in 1969?
