Another opportunity to see the world

Imagine being involved in rice harvesting in Thai-land, experiencing advances in dairy farming in Swit-zerland, cattle ranching in Argentina, or opportunities in more than 15 other countries. An experience with IFYE can bring you this and more. The IFYE Associ-ation of the USA, Inc. is now accepting applications for its 2019 international exchange programs. The initial application is available on the IFYE Asso-ciation website @ ifyeusa.org. It takes less than 30 minutes to complete and submit. The IFYE national program director will then follow up with you to begin your international experience. Look under the Foreign Exchange tab for USA outbound participa-tion application to get started. Those who complete the written applications will be interviewed for the limited number of 2019 international exchange op-portunities. IFYE Association of the USA, Inc. provides cultural exchange programming that places participants with multiple host families during a three- or six-month period in countries around the world. The IFYE vi-sion of “Peace through Understanding” continues to touch the lives of people around the world.

Be A Host Family

Host a Japanese or Korean youth this summer through States’ 4-H International! Expand your fami-ly’s cultural understanding, learn about new foods and customs, and possibly learn a new language all while sharing your own. Your children will build life-long friendships and will gain new perspectives on their own country, too!

Be aware:

Families hosting a youth must have a child the same gender and approximate age (12-18) as the incoming youth.

Youth must have a separate bed; a separate room is not required.

Host family selection is dependent on completion of an application and screening process as well as student availability and personality compatibility.

Applications are due June 1.

work and to all of the families that donated

soda, chips and baked goods to sell. Our

fundraiser brought in $1,530 to be used for

program year.
