ECO-ADVENTURE NATURE CAMP

(7-12 yrs)

Children will experience tons of fun at this nature camp with plenty of indoor & outdoor activities such as hiking & exploring in the swamp, learning about the creatures that inhabit the park, plus cooperative games, sports, and crafts.

SPLASH CAMP (8-12 yrs)

In this water-based day camp, participants will enjoy the use of Sun Splash, water games, and crafts. Campers should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, tennis shoes and socks. Daily lunch is included with the program cost.

JR. LIFEGUARD CAMP (10-13 yrs)

This program is designed to enlighten par-ticipants as to what being a lifeguard is all about. Participants will learn about CPR, Ba-sic First Aid, lifeguard rescue techniques and proper swimming techniques. A uniform and daily lunch is included with the program cost.

Campers will get to spend their summer days enjoying beach exploration and time at the pool. Activities vary from week to week including arts & crafts, group games, and swimming. The camp provides a safe, fun and active environment in which children can develop self-esteem and friendships.

JR. LIFEGUARD CAMP (10-15 yrs)

Learn what lifeguarding is all about! This camp includes water rescues, CPR + First Aid, fitness training, stroke development, and other skills to help with future employment as a lifeguard. Participants will receive a Jr. Lifeguard T-shirt. (Due to age restrictions, Jr. Lifeguards cannot not obtain certifications from this class.)

During this fun-filled program, participants will enjoy themed weeks, guest speakers, indoor and outdoor recreational activities, and much more. The purpose of this course is to develop in very young children a high comfort level in and around the water while, at the same time, training parents in water safety and drowning prevention. This course does not teach children to become accomplished swimmers. One parent or trusted guardian must be in the water with each child. Swim diapers are required.

Designed to meet the needs of pre-school aged children, this class will develop a high comfort level in the water, a readiness to swim, and for those children who are developmentally ready, teach beginning swim skills. The class approaches teaching skills through

Sea Stars combine swimming and adventure learning activities to provide an exciting and unique curriculum. Children progress at in-dividual rates with the opportunity to learn core swimming skills

This program is designed to provide comprehensive swim instruc-tion for students who have special needs. All classes are conducted using the Starfish Swimming Core Competencies Teaching Models. Classes provide necessary teaching adaptions and adaptive equip-ment that may be required to make the students as independent and successful in the water as possible.
