FROM THE PASTOR Dear Parishioners, Today is the Solemnity of Pentecost. Come, Holy Spirit! Let us all pray for a deeper devoon to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit tends to be the forgoen person of the Holy Trinity. We receive the Holy Spirit at our bapsm and confirmaon. As long as we are in the state of grace, the Holy Spirit is within us. So let us strike out into ordinary me in the power of the Holy Spirit. Deacon Mahew Hebert will be ordained a priest on Satur- day, June 10th at 10:00am in the Cathedral. His first Mass will be that night at 4:00pm at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Abbeville. Congratulaons and prayers to Deacon Mahew! Four weeks ago we had our commitment weekend for our capital campaign. At Belaire Cove Chapel we did it a couple of months ago. If you have not done so yet, I invite you to fill out a commitment card. We have them at the doors of the church and in the rectory. We want to make sure that every family in the parish has a chance to pledge to this capital campaign. We have passed our goal at both Sacred Heart and Belaire Cove and so now we get to keep 50% of monies collected aſter the goal. For Sacred Heart we are going to the use the money for the interior renovaon of our Church. At Belaire Cove, we are going to use the money for a new cross on top of our steeple. Sacred Heart is at 131%, Belaire Cove is at 126% and St. Joseph is at 141%. Sincerely in Christ, Fr. Thomas Voorhies Prayer Partners Needed: There are many Holy Hours with only 1 adorer. A prayer partner for these adorers would enable them to depend on each other and allow more flexibility with their schedule. +CAMP BRAVE HEARTS

Hospice of Acadiana Inc. is holding its annual CAMP BRAVE HEARTS for children who are faced with the challenges of grief on June 23, 2017. Whether or not we

are aware of it, grief calls forth a BRAVE HEART in all of us. Being brave means being honest about difficult feelings and being willing to share those feelings

with other children who are also grieving. The camp will provide a safe place for Brave Hearts to freely share such difficult feelings through fun activities. Spaces

+SURVIVOR OF SUICIDE SUPPORT GROUP

The death of a loved one is never easy and grief is experienced differently for everyone. The Jacob Crouch Suicide Prevention Services and the Office of

Marriage and Family Life are forming a support group especially tailored for survivors of suicide. This group will provide a safe place for those who have lost

a loved one to suicide to share their struggles, experiences, and pain as they struggle to regain hope and strength. The group will be facilitated by a licensed counselor and is open to all survivors of suicide over the age of 18. The group

+ DIVORCE RECOVERY PROGRAM

+ School News+ SHS FOOTBALL CAMP

The SHS Football Camp will be held on June 26th-29th from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon for

SHS CHEER CAMP

The SHS Lil Cheer Camp is scheduled for August 7-9, 2017 from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in the
